Abstract:
A storage trunk for a vehicle. In one embodiment, the storage trunk comprises a floor and two side lids, one located at the driver side and the other located at the passenger side of the vehicle, respectively, enclosing a storage space in the front of the vehicle. Each of the two side lids is attached to a frame via a pivoting mechanism adapted for allowing said side lid to rotate about the pivoting mechanism when said side lid is being opened or closed. The pivoting mechanism is positioned such that the storage trunk can be accessed from either the driver side or the passenger side of the vehicle when one or both side lids are open.
Abstract:
In at least one embodiment, a method is described for measuring concentrations of gas moieties in a gas mixture. A mixed-potential gas sensor is exposed to a gas mixture in order to obtain a first and a second mixed-potential gas sensor output responses. The first output response and a second output response are deconvoluted to measure a first analyte gas concentration and a second analyte gas concentration. Some of the output responses may be used as inputs to a control system.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for processing electronic documents is provided. A request, from a first user, to issue an alert to a second user that may have submitted a print request to the printing device is received at the printing device. The printing device may be attempting to process the print request submitted by the second user when the printing device receives the request from the first user. The first user may not know the identity of the second user. The printing device consults contact data that identifies how to contact the second user. The printing device thereafter issues the alert to the second user in accordance with the contact data. Upon receiving the alert, the second user is informed of the current condition of the printing device, e.g., the printing device may be experiencing a problem that prevents the second user's print request from being fully processed.
Abstract:
In an embodiment, a process for automated peripheral device selection implemented by a network host, typically a server. A client accesses the host and requests information about a particular type of peripheral device a user of the client desires to access. In response to the client's request, the host provides the client with a composite list of available attributes associated with the particular type of peripheral device requested by the client. The user selects the desired attributes for the type of peripheral device requested. The process for automated peripheral device selection then selects a peripheral device which most closely matches the user's selected peripheral device attributes.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a prompt method of short message splitting including: pre-obtaining, by a terminal, splitting rule data for a short message transmitted by a subscriber of the terminal in various operators' networks; and calculating, by the terminal, the number of short message segments obtained by splitting the short message edited by the subscriber based on the splitting rule data and informing the subscriber of it. The present invention can prompt the subscriber timely and accurately with the exact number of short message segments obtained by splitting the short message transmitted by the subscriber in the operator's network.
Abstract:
Techniques are provided for servicing client requests to print data. A client sends print requests to a print server. The print server acts as an intermediary between clients and multiple printing devices. The print server includes drivers for the printing devices that are connected to the same network. The print server retrieves and store capabilities of each printing device. A print request from a client includes multiple parameters. If the capabilities of one or more printing devices satisfy the multiple parameters, then the one or more printing devices are identified as candidates to service the print request. The print server determines which of the candidates is the best match. The print server sends the print request to the determined best match.
Abstract:
A method for planarizing a surface in an integrated circuit manufacturing process provides a first film of a first material over a non-uniform surface, such as a surface including isolation trenches. The first material includes, for example, a polysilicon layer to be used to form floating gates in a non-volatile memory integrated circuit. A second film, which is a sacrificial film formed using a second material, such as silicon oxide, is then provided over the first film. Partial removal of the second film is carried out using chemical mechanical polishing until a portion of the first film is exposed using a first slurry that is selective to the first material. Thereafter, the remaining layer of the second film is removed, along with planarization of the surface, using a second slurry that is highly selective, i.e., has a selectivity of the first film to the second film that is greater than a predetermine value (e.g., 16:1).
Abstract:
An electrochemical gas sensor and methods of operating an electrochemical gas sensor are disclosed. In one embodiment, an electrochemical gas sensor comprising a measuring electrode pair configured to measure a gas species and a pumping electrode pair configured to reduce an amount of an interfering species in a sample in the electrochemical gas sensor is operated by obtaining a measurement of the interfering species at a location spatially adjacent to a measuring electrode of the measuring electrode pair, and adjusting one or more of an operation or an output processing of the electrochemical gas sensor based on the measurement of the interfering species.
Abstract:
A computer enabled method and system that can expose distributed transaction services as web services from a service architecture comprises steps of configuring the service architecture; receiving a invocation request through web services from a client; invoking a distributed transaction service from a distributed transaction application, wherein the distributed transaction service is defined in the invocation request; and exporting the distributed transaction service in the form of web services.
