    摘要: A method for treating a subterranean region includes running a tubular string including a plurality of sealed fluid ports distributed along its length through an upper lined wellbore section and into a lower drilled bore section which intercepts a subterranean region, wherein the lower drilled bore section includes a first fluid. A second fluid is delivered through one of the tubular string and an annulus defined between the tubular string and a wall of the bore to displace the first fluid from the annulus, wherein fluid communication between the tubular member and the annulus is provided via a displacement port in a lower end region of the tubular string. At least one of the sealed fluid ports may subsequently be opened and a treating fluid is delivered through the tubular string and into the annulus via the at least one opened fluid port to treat the subterranean region.

    摘要: A stage tool for cementing a wellbore annulus, comprising: a main body including a tubular wall with an outer surface and an inner bore extending from a top end to a bottom end; a cementing port through the tubular wall providing fluidic access between the longitudinal bore and the outer surface; a valve for controlling flow through the cementing port between the outer surface and the inner bore; and a plug sealing a circulation path between the valve and the outer surface, the plug being expellable by pressure applied from the inner bore. The stage tool may be run in with the plug isolating annular pressure from the valve. After sufficient cement has been introduced to the annulus, the stage tool fluid port can be closed to hold the cement in the annulus.

    摘要: A method of hydraulically activating a mechanically operated wellbore tool in a bottom hole assembly includes: holding moveable elements of the wellbore tool in an unactivated position using a shear pin; inserting one or more drop balls into a drilling fluid; and flowing the drilling fluid with the drop balls to a flow orifice located in or below the wellbore tool. The flow orifice is at least partially plugged with the drop balls to restrict fluid flow and correspondingly increases the hydraulic pressure of the drilling fluid. The hydraulic pressure is increased to a point beyond the rating of the shear pin, thereby causing the shear pin to shear and allowing the moveable elements of the tool to move to an activated position.

The fluid flow control system includes a flow control assembly having a fluid flow path through which a fluid flows. A support structure is positioned in the fluid flow path. A plug is releasably coupled to the support structure such that when fluid flow through the fluid flow path induces sufficient movement in the support structure, the movement causes release of the plug from the support structure into the fluid flow path, thereby restricting subsequent fluid flow in at least one direction through the fluid flow path.

    摘要: Systems and methods for facilitating fluid flow during and after landing of logging tools in a bottom hole assembly are disclosed. A logging tool string is lowered through a drill string and landed in a bottom hole assembly (“BHA”) positioned at the end of the drill string. Drilling fluid is pumped behind the logging tool to assist with downward movement of the tool. As the logging tool string lands in the bottom hole assembly, fluid flowing downward through the BHA below the logging tool string is blocked by the landed logging tool string. The BHA includes a circulation sub positioned above a landing sub. The circulation sub has at least one port through a wall of the circulation sub which allows fluid flow out of the BHA and into the annulus between the wellbore wall and the BHA when the downward flow is blocked.
