摘要： A hygiene article, particularly a sanitary napkin or an adult incontinence pad is disclosed. The hygiene article comprises an absorbent core having an elongate shape, being sandwiched between a back sheet and a front sheet. The back sheet and the front sheet extend beyond the absorbent core and are sealed together to form a sealing edge portion. A region of material adapted to form a first fastening means is arranged on the back sheet. A region of material adapted to form a second fastening means, substantially co-extensive with, and adapted to form a protective cover for, the first fastening means is also provided. Preferably at least the second fastening means is provided on the sealing edge. The fastening means may be formed from the same materials, for example, a hermaphroditic fastener, or from different materials for example, a mechanical fastening means and an adhesive fastening means.

A method of making a fastening tab is also disclosed. The method includes attaching multiple discrete patches of mechanical fastener to a substrate web extending in the machine direction, cutting through the substrate web and the multiple patches of mechanical fastener in the machine direction with a continuous, meandering cut to provide two sub-webs, and optionally providing cross-web direction cuts through each sub-web to provide a plurality of fastening tabs. An absorbent article including the fastening tab and webs of fastening tabs are also included.

摘要： A wearing article configured so that hook elements of a mechanical fastener can be firmly attached to a chassis and the hook elements can be held in engagement with loop elements of a mechanical fastener tightly without correspondingly increasing a manufacturing cost. The wearing article has front and rear waist regions that respectively include a first pair of lateral zones and a second pair of lateral zones, these lateral zones in each pair are opposed to each other in a transverse direction X and extending in a longitudinal direction Y. An inner sheet is provided in the first lateral zones with mount members attached thereto and hook elements are attached to the diaper via the mount members. In the second lateral zones, the inner sheet is provided with loop elements attached thereto. First and second arrays of the hook elements include deformed regions created over the entire areas thereof by pressure-treatment.

The slits may be interrupted by a bridging region of the backing, or the slits may be partial slits that penetrate the thickness of the backing in a range from 40 to 90 percent. A fastening laminate that includes a carrier and the hook strip described above joined to the carrier is also provided. In some embodiments, the fastening laminate includes slits that form separate, abutting portions of the backing on the carrier. An absorbent article containing the hook strip and a method of making the hook strip are also disclosed.

摘要： The present invention provides a method of making a wearing article improved so that mount members in folded state can be easily released from a temporarily fixing effect. The method of making a wearing article involves folding back each of mount members from the side of a top-sheet of a front waist region toward an inner side facing the wearer's skin so as to define first regions, second regions and third regions; bonding the first regions to the top-sheet in the front waist region by means of first adhesive layers; bonding the first regions to the second regions by means of second adhesive layers; forming first arrays of adhesive spots between the second regions and the third regions; hook elements are bonded to surfaces of the third regions on the side of the top-sheet in a rear waist region; bond loop elements to the top-sheet in the rear waist region; and engaging the loop elements with the hook elements. The first arrays of adhesive spots are formed in area overlapping the hook elements.

More specifically, the invention relates to the female part of a hook-and-loop self-adhering support, comprising a plastic film and independent filaments which are fixed to one of the faces of the film. According to the invention, the film is made from a non-elastic and non-heat-shrinkable material and the filaments have a count of less than 10, preferably less than or equal to 7.7, for example between 2 and 5 decitex.

Each of the tape fasteners 6 includes fibrous nonwoven fabric made of thermoplastic synthetic resin fiber and thermoplastic synthetic resin coated on a substantially whole area of an outer surface of the fibrous nonwoven fabric wherein the thermoplastic synthetic resin forms a substantially smooth synthetic resin layer on outer surfaces of the respective tape fasteners. Thus, a free portion of each tape fastener is reliably prevented from being disengaged from a target tape even when the outer surface of the tape fastener and an inner surface of an underwear rub together during use of the diaper.
