    摘要： The invention relates to a sealing disc for a container closure used for a container having a mouth delimited by a circumferential edge. The sealing disc is composed of a plurality of layers with an edge. Before the container is opened for the first time, at least one group of layers tightly closes the mouth of said container. One of the layers is a metallic layer that can be heated by induction. The other layers are non-metallic and unable to be directly heated by induction. The group of layers can be sealed, using a sealing layer, on the circumferential edge of the mouth. One of the layers is composed of a thermally insulating material. The sealing disc has at least one grip tab. The grip tab is formed from just one or more of the layers of the layer group. The surfaces of the layers that form said grip tab project beyond the edge of the metallic, induction-heatable layer of the group for the length of the surface of the grip tab. Said grip tab is formed only from the layer composed of thermally insulating material, or from said layer and one or more of the other non-metallic layers that are unable to be directly heated by induction. The grip tab is doubled over on the uppermost layer of the sealing disc.

    摘要： The present disclosure is concerned with forming and non-forming webs with improved puncture resistance suitable for use in semi-automatic horizontal form fill and seal (HFFS) packaging machines and a process for packaging hard food items with sharp angular surfaces using such webs in such machines. The webs have a double wall partially laminated structure. The structure is conveniently formed by adhesively laminating two component films in a face to face configuration using a pattern of adhesive which leaves a substantial portion of the two facing surfaces unlaminated. The lamination just needs to be sufficient that the two component films will hot form together when they are vacuum drawn into a die to form a cavity for packaging the food items. The webs comprise at least a first thermoplastic component film having substantial stored shrink forces and a second thermoplastic component film having no substantial stored shrink forces.

    摘要： A system and method to make stacked connector members for readily joining adjacent ends of sections of insulation tubing. Each of the stacked connector members includes a carrier member having a central opening. A layer of double-sided adhesive material is coated on each side of the carrier member, such that one side of the layer of double-sided adhesive material is able to bond to an end face of one section of insulation tubing, and the other side of the layer of double-sided adhesive material is able to bond to an end face of the second section of insulation tubing. In some embodiments, the layer of double-sided adhesive includes a scrim that acts as a reinforcing structure to keep the layer of double-sided adhesive material intact as a single body during and after application between two adjacent sections of insulation tubing.
