    摘要: There is provided an RF amplifier arrangement comprising: an input operable to receive an RF input signal; an output operable to output an amplified RF signal; at least one amplifier bank located between the input and output, the or each amplifier bank comprising a plurality of amplifier stages; an input level detector operable to measure the signal level of the RF input signal; and a controller operable to control the amplifier bank, wherein the controller is operable to select one or more different configurations of the amplifier by selecting one or more amplifier stages and/or modifying one or more characteristics of one or more amplifier stages in dependence upon the signal level of the RF input signal to dynamically adapt and optimise its characteristics.

    摘要: A current sensor includes a die and a shunt resistor having a first temperature coefficient and having a first node and a second node fabricated onto the die, wherein the shunt resistor is for passing the current that is to be sensed. A first compensation resistor is fabricated onto the die and is coupled to the first node of the shunt resistor, wherein the first compensation resistor is proximate the shunt resistor and has a temperature coefficient that is similar to the temperature coefficient of the shunt resistor. A second compensation resistor is fabricated onto the die and is coupled to the second node of the shunt resistor, wherein the second compensation resistor is proximate the shunt resistor and has a temperature coefficient that is the close to the temperature coefficient of the shunt resistor.

    摘要: Methods and systems are provided for generating an oscillating signal for use as a clock in digital logic timing. The oscillating signal is generated via a differential RC relaxation oscillator including an oscillator core and biasing circuitry. The oscillator core may be configured such that the oscillating signal it generates is substantially sinusoidal or pseudo-sinusoidal and contains less harmonic content relative to a square wave signal. The biasing circuitry may be configured to have a reduced dependence on temperature so that the biasing values it provides vary less with temperature.

An example receiver generally includes a mixer having differential input terminals and differential output terminals and a baseband filter having inputs coupled to the differential output terminals of the mixer. The receiver also includes common-mode sensing circuitry coupled to the differential input terminals of the mixer and configured to sense a common-mode signal of a first differential signal present at the differential input terminals of the mixer. The receiver further includes a conversion circuit coupled to the common-mode sensing circuitry and configured to convert the common-mode signal to a second differential signal presented to the differential output terminals of the mixer and the inputs of the baseband filter.
