摘要: Railyard management system for managing, assembling, disassembling and validating train consists and monitoring railcars in the railyard. The system provides for the collection of data and the movement of data from lower processing levels to higher processing levels, where an inference engine draws inferences regarding the current state of railcars and train consists within the railyard. The inferences are assigned confidence levels based on the methods and available data used to draw the inferences. The system can be used to track the location and orientation of railcars in the railyard and to validate order and orientation of assets in a train consist.

摘要: A control valve includes a diaphragm with a flow path with a predetermined cross-section from a brake pipe to a first side of the diaphragm and another flow path having another predetermined cross-section from a second side of the diaphragm to atmosphere. A dump valve prevents flow from the brake pipe to atmosphere. A method for operating a control valve includes supplying brake pipe air to a first side of a diaphragm through a flow path having a predetermined cross-section and permitting or preventing reference air flow to atmosphere through another flow path having another predetermined cross-section. The method further includes supplying reference air to a dump valve that prevents brake pipe air flow to atmosphere.

摘要: A pressure control system and means for pressure pouring of cast steel wheels, comprising a control system and a main gas circuit. The control system comprises an upper computer, a PLC unit, a sensor, an operation box and an electronic valve. The upper computer is connected via a signal line with the PLC unit which is connected with each of the sensor, the operation box and the electronic valve. The sensor comprises an inside-tank pressure sensor and an inside-mold liquid level detecting sensor. The electronic valve comprises a quick breaking valve and a servo valve. The main gas circuit comprises a gas pressure bag, a ball valve, a pressure reducing valve, a solenoid valve, and a pressure tank. The gas pressure bag, the ball valve, the pressure reducing valve, the solenoid valve and the pressure tank are connected with one another via gas tubes.

摘要: An improved leaf spring side bearing assembly for railway freight cars is provided that achieves improved tracking and curving by the limitation of rock of the railway freight car. The side bearing comprises a base with two raised end sections. A leaf spring assembly is provided on the base that extends to the underside and support channel of the freight car. 摘要: A three piece railway freight truck is comprised of two laterally spaced side frames between which a bolster extends. Suspension load springs support the bolster, and control springs support friction shoes. Both variations of friction shoes have gaps that will allow lateral movement of the friction shoes across the bolster or the friction shoes across the side frame. The lateral movement is accomplished by having a low friction material pad between the bolster and the friction shoe or a low friction material pad between the friction shoe and a wear plate that bears on the side frame. The low friction material with low siding resistance allows lateral displacement energy to be dissipated over the lateral decoupling clearance.

摘要: A method of forming a mold for use in the casting of a steel railway freight car truck component is provided. A cope mold is formed by providing a near net shape oversize impression of a cope pattern of a product to be cast in a flask. A cope pattern of the product to be cast is then placed on the flask forming a spacing between the cope pattern and the oversize impression. A resin coated sand is then blown to form a sand layer between the oversized impression in the flask and the cope pattern. The resin sand is set to form a mold of a thickness between the oversized impression in the flask and the cope pattern of the product to be cast. The drag mold is formed in a similar manner.
