An auto focus lens for digital cameras comprises a coil base, a lens barrel, and an elastic component. The coil base which has a coil wounded around in a specific direction and which has an accommodation hole whose bottom is provided with a stopper. The surface of the lens barrel is distributed with a permanent magnet and the lens barrel is rotatably installed inside the accommodation hole. One of the lens barrel's ends has a guide surface, slant and close to the stopper. The elastic component presses against the other end of the lens barrel so that the guide surface touches the stopper permanently. When the coil is provided with an electric current, a magnetic force is generated to repel the permanent magnet on the lens barrel. The lens barrel thus rotates up and down according to the design of the guide surface, and thereby the focal length of the camera is changed.

The invention provides a halogen-free and thermal resistant composition, including a mixture of bismaleimide and maleimide with molar ratio of 99:1-50:50; a barbituric acid, wherein the molar ratio of the mixture and the barbituric acid is 93:7-80:20; and an epoxy resin, wherein (the mixture with the barbituric acid) and the epoxy resin have a weight ratio of 5:95 to 50:50. The mixture undergoes reaction at 110-130° C. for about 2˜7 hours to form a maleimide modified epoxy resin. The procedure of forming the composition is solvent-free, thereby providing improved integrity for electronic packaging, lower curing temperature, and a simplified process.

The invention provides methods and compositions for rapid, sensitive, and highly specific nucleic acid-based (e.g., DNA based) detection of human rhinovirus (HRV) in a sample. In general, the methods involve detecting a target nucleic acid having a target sequence of a conserved 5′ untranslated region of the HRV genome. The invention also features compositions, including primers, probes, and kits, for use in the methods of the invention.

A lens module (10) includes a lens barrel (11), at least one fixed focus lens (12) fixed in the lens barrel, and at least two variable focus lenses (13) fixed in the lens barrel. Each variable focus lens includes two electrodes (151) and an electro-optical material (153) between the electrodes. Each electrode is electrically connected to a voltage supply so as to be able to selectively apply a voltage to the electro-optical material and to thus selectively control the refractive index of that material. By changing the refractive index, a concordant change in the focus of a given variable focus lens is possible, without modifying the position and/or shape thereof.

A fan has a fan frame for accommodating a first circuit board and a second circuit board. A fan frame includes a housing, a base, and at least one supporting element. The base is disposed in the housing, and the base includes a bottom portion and a tube portion, which is connected to and extended from the bottom portion. The supporting element is connected between the housing and the base. There is a predetermined distance between the bottom portion of the base and an end of the housing so as to form an accommodating space, the first circuit board is disposed on the base and is located on a first side of the bottom portion facing the tube portion, and the second circuit board is disposed in the accommodating space which is located on a second side of the bottom portion facing away from the tube portion.

A modem (10) includes a signal tuner module (101), a signal processing module (103), and a mode switching module (105). The signal tuner module receives a radio frequency (RF) signal in a first operation mode, and converts the RF signal to an intermediate frequency (IF) signal according to the first operation mode. The signal processing module processes the IF signal to generate an error rate according to the first operation mode. The mode switching module determines whether the first operation mode is right according to the error rate, and switches from the first operation mode to a second operation mode when the first operation mode is not right. A method for switching operation modes thereof is also provided.

A phase change device includes a first contact electrode structure a phase change material and a first insulating material between the phase change material and the first contact electrode structure and a second contact electrode in contact with the phase change material. A contact structure formed in the first insulating material between the first contact electrode structure and the phase change material is also included. The contact structure is formed by an insulating material breakdown process. A method of forming a phase change device is also described.

The combining unit is welded directly to the hollow tube of the beam. The combining unit has a substrate, a stud, a washer, a nut and a positioning pin. The stud and the positioning pin are fixed firmly on the substrate. The washer is looped on the stud. The nut is screwed in the stud.
