Abstract: A riding toy includes a body with a spring assembly supporting the body on a base so that the body may be moved in first and second motions with respect to the base. The riding toy also includes a microcontroller and first and second motion sensors responsive to the first and second motions, respectively. The first and second motion sensors are positioned on the body and in electronic communication with the microcontroller. A sound synthesizing circuit is in electronic communication with the microcontroller and a speaker. The microcontroller is programmed to provide a first sound effect when the first motion sensor detects the first motion and a second sound effect when the second sensor detects the second motion. The first sound effect is varied based on a speed of the first motion and preempts the second sound effect if both the first and second motions are taking place simultaneously. The riding toy also includes a light sensor in electronic communication with the microprocessor. The microprocessor activates the sound synthesizing circuit to produce a third sound effect when the light sensor is triggered.

Abstract: A powered ride-on vehicle having a frame supported by a first drive wheel, a second drive wheel and at least one non-driven support wheel. The vehicle has a first motor connected to the first drive wheel, a second motor connected to the second drive wheel, a steering wheel, a plurality of movement selectors, a dance selector, and one or more controllers operably electrically connected to the motors, the plurality of movement selectors, and the dance selector. The controllers operate to manipulate the motors to cause movements of the vehicle for a set period of time upon depression of one of the plurality of movement selectors independent of an angular location of the steering wheel. The controllers further operate to manipulate the motors to cycle through at least four different dances based on subsequent depression of the dance selector.

Abstract: A bump detector system for a ride-on vehicle is provided. The bump detector system uses an extended length inner collapsible member having a first surface and a second surface. The inner collapsible member has a plurality of through holes spaced about its extended length. A first outer conductive member is secured to the first surface of the inner collapsible member and extends over the plurality of through holes, and a second outer conductive member is secured to the second surface of the inner collapsible member and extends over the plurality of through holes. The bumper of the ride-on vehicle has a recess that is sized to receive the inner collapsible member, first outer conductive member and second outer conductive member.

Abstract: A folding mechanism for a scooter to transition the scooter from a use position to a folded position. The folding mechanism has an upper housing connected to a steering tube of the scooter, and a lower housing operably secured to a fork of the scooter and pivotally secured to the upper housing about a folding axle. A lever is pivotally attached to the folding axle and operates to move a locking clamp from an unlocked position to a locked position. The locking connects the upper housing and the lower housing in the locked position. Additionally, a locking sleeve engages the lever to prevent the lever from being moved from the locked position to the unlocked position when the locking sleeve is in its locked position.

Abstract: An accessory attachment mechanism for a wagon is provided. The mechanism has a mounting bracket, a pivot arm, and a retention mechanism. The mounting bracket is connected to the wagon and has a first opening, a second opening, and a pivot member. The pivot arm is pivotally connected to the mounting bracket at the pivot member and pivots about a plane generally parallel to a base of the wagon between a storage position and a use position. A pin extends through the pivot arm into separate openings in the mounting bracket to retain the pivot arm in the storage and use positions. The retention mechanism is provided at an end of the pivot arm and has a moveable clamp member adapted to secure an accessory thereto.
