摘要： A method for manufacturing a polarization element which has a high reliability and is easy to manufacture. The manufacturing method includes the steps of forming a fine metal particle dispersed product including a plurality of dispersed fine metal particles on a surface of the transparent substrate using a sol-gel method, drawing the fine metal particle dispersed product together with the transparent substrate while heating both, and cutting the drawn fine metal particle dispersed product and transparent substrate. The forming step includes the steps of coating a sol coating liquid on the surface of the transparent substrate, heat-treating the coated sol coating liquid, and sintering the heat-treated sol coating liquid. The sol coating liquid includes a disperse liquid containing an organic silicon compound as a main component and a metal salt dispersed in the disperse liquid for forming the fine metal particles.

摘要： An article having a predetermined surface configuration, such as an optical element having fine irregularities in the surface which has high heat resistance, small heat shrinkage at the time of molding a film and high dimensional stability, and a production process therefor. The article having a predetermined surface configuration is produced by setting a composition comprising a compound which contains a dimethylsiloxane skeleton having at least three recurring units and at least one polymerizable organic group in the molecule between and in contact with the surface of a substrate and the molding surface of a mold in the form of a film, applying at least one of heat and ultraviolet radiation to the composition, removing the mold, and heating as required to form a film having a surface configuration which is the inversion of the surface configuration of the mold on the surface of the substrate.

摘要： There can be provided a method for producing a pattern film-coated article which has excellent film formability, can remove unexposed portions of a film completely in the development step after exposing the film to light. and has excellent pattern accuracy; and a photosensitive composition. The method for producing a pattern film-coated article comprises the steps of coating a photosensitive composition comprising an organometallic or organosilicon compound having photosensitivity and a hydrolyzable metal or silicon alkoxide on a substrate, irradiating the coated film on the substrate with light to polymerize the exposed portions of the coated film and then dissolving unexposed portions to remove them, wherein a pattern film-coated article is produced from an allyl group-containing metal or silicon alkoxide as the organometallic or organosilicon compound.

The enzymes of this invention can be obtained from microorganisms such as the genera Pichia, Candida, and Ogataea, and so on. It is possible to produce alcohols, in particular, alcohols such as (S)-4-halo-3-hydroxybutyric acid esters and (R)-propoxybenzene derivatives by reducing ketones with this (R)-2-octanol dehydrogenase. Moreover, the (R)-2-octanol dehydrogenase of this invention is excellent in activity and stereoselectivity.

The paint film covered parts include a show surface section with a paint film laminate overlying the plastic substrate of this section of the part to provide the desired aesthetic appeal. An attachment flange section of the part is provided and is usually hidden from sight when the part is assembled to the auto or truck body structure. The flange serves as a location at which clamps, bolts, rivets or the like can support or attach to the auto to truck structure. A raised portion, such as a boss section, is provided intermediate the show surface section and the attachment flange. This boss is adapted for contiguous or closed spaced positioning adjacent the auto or truck structural part. The boss is completely covered by the paint film with the paint film terminating along the attachment flange.

At the same time the driven-side rotator is allowed to rotate while generating a desired frictional force between the rolling element and the inner circumferential surface of the housing, so that the rotation of the driven-side rotator is not transmitted to the driving-side rotator.

摘要： A clutch includes an outer ring, a driving-side rotator, a driven-side rotator and rolling elements. Each rolling element is located between an inner circumferential surface of the ring and a corresponding control surface of the driven-side rotator and has a diameter shorter than a distance between a circumferential center portion of the control surface and the inner circumferential surface of the ring but longer than a distance between each of opposing circumferential end portions of the control surface and the inner circumferential surface of the ring. The center portion is located radially outward of a straight line that connects the end portions. Each intermediate portion positioned between the center portion and the end portion is arcuately bulged beyond a straight line that connects the center portion and the end portion.
