Provided are a method for performing measurement and a device supporting the method. According to an embodiment of the present invention, a method comprises: receiving a reference signal (RS); receiving a measurement configuration including a set of filter coefficients from a network, wherein each filter coefficient in the set of filter coefficients is configured per periodicity of the RS; performing a measurement based on the RS; selecting a filter coefficient in the set of filter coefficients based on the periodicity of the RS; and reporting a result of the measurement filtered based on the selected filter coefficient.

Provided is a method for a terminal for measuring the reference signal received quality (RSRQ) of a serving cell.The terminal receives a discovery reference signal (DRS) measurement timing configuration (DMTC) from a network, and on the basis of the received DMTC, the terminal can measure the RSRQ of the serving cell. The serving cell may comprise a small cell supporting a DRS, and the small cell may be present on the same frequency as the serving cell. Furthermore, the RSRQ measurement of the serving cell can only be carried out during a non-DMTC period set in accordance with the DMTC. The non-DMTC period is a period during which a DRS is not transmitted from the small cell.

Measurement results may be provided by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system. The UE may receive a configuration for WLAN offloading; and if the configuration for WLAN offloading includes an RAN-assisted WLAN interworking configuration, and does not include an LTE-WLAN Aggregation (LWA) configuration and an LTE/WLAN Radio Level Integration with IPsec Tunnel (LWIP) configuration, the UE may provide the measurement results required for evaluation of a network selection and traffic steering rules to upper layers.

A method by which a terminal performs cell measurement by selectively using reference signals (RSs) is provided. The terminal receives, from a network, a common RS (CRS) measurement configuration and a discovery RS (DRS) measurement configuration with respect to a frequency to be measured. If the network has configured a physical cell ID (PCID) list for CRS-based DRS measurement with respect to the frequency to be measured, DRS measurement is performed on cells included in the PCID list, and CRS measurement is performed on cells not included in the PCID list. If the network has not configured the PCID list for CRS-based DRS measurement with respect to the frequency to be measured, DRS measurement is performed on all cells belonging to the frequency to be measured.

A user equipment (UE) sets start of the measurement period to one of beginning of a period of a broadcast/multicast control channel or beginning of a scheduling period for the broadcast/multicast channel, which is one of a multicast control channel (MCCH) modification period, a MCCH repetition period, a broadcast control channel (BCCH) modification period, or a multicast channel (MCH) scheduling period (MSP). The UE performs, at a radio link control (RLC) layer or a media access control (MAC) layer, measurement from the start of the measurement period.

A method and apparatus for performing multimedia broadcast multicast service (MBMS) minimization of drive test (MDT) in a wireless communication system is provided. Upon receiving a MBMS-MDT configuration from a network, a user equipment (UE) selects a subset of multicast broadcast single frequency network (MBSFN) areas among multipleMBSFN areas providing interested MBMS services, and performs MBMS-MDT only for the selected subset of MBSFN areas. The subset of MBSFN areas may be selected based on priorities of the multiple MBSFN areas.
