    Abstract: A method and apparatus for transmitting and receiving narrowband (NB) synchronization signals. A base station transmits an NB secondary synchronization signal (SSS) indicating N NB cell identities assigned for NB Internet of Things (IoT) operation, a specific sequence generated by multiplying a base sequence with a cover sequence in element units is used for the NB SSS, wherein the base sequence is generated through a second Zadoff-Chu sequence having a length corresponding to a largest prime number less than a length L in a frequency domain, and the specific sequence is divisionally mapped to and transmitted in a plurality of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols in elements each having a length M.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for performing a random access procedure in a wireless communication system and a device therefor, the method comprising a step for receiving NPRACH configuration information and a step for transmitting a random access preamble on the basis of the NPRACH configuration information, wherein the NPRACH configuration information includes information indicating whether only a first preamble format is supported, only a second preamble format is supported, or both the first preamble format and the second preamble format are supported. If both the first preamble format and the second preamble format are supported according to the NPRACH configuration information and a specific condition is met, the random access preamble is transmitted using the first preamble format, and, if both the first preamble format and the second preamble format are supported according to the NPRACH configuration information and the specific condition is not met, the random access preamble is transmitted using the second preamble format.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a method and devices for transmitting and receiving a synchronization signal and a method for generating a synchronization signal in a wireless access system supporting narrowband Internet of Things (NB-IoT). A method for transmitting a primary synchronization signal (PSS) by a base station in a wireless access system supporting narrowband Internet of Things (NB-IoT), according to an embodiment of the present invention, can comprise the steps of: repeatedly generating first sequences n times so as to generate primary synchronization signals; multiplying n first sequences by second sequences and thus generating n primary synchronization signals; and transmitting n primary synchronization signals by means of n OFDM symbols, respectively. The size of a bandwidth used in the wireless access system supporting NB-IoT is the size of one physical resource block (PRB), and one PRB can comprise twelve subcarriers in a frequency domain.
