Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive from a base station a measurement configuration signal comprising a measurement resource configuration associated with a cross-link interference signal strength measurement. The UE may perform the cross-link interference signal strength measurement for one or more UEs associated with one or more intra-frequency neighboring cells according to the measurement resource configuration, wherein the cross-link interference signal strength measurement is performed during an intra-frequency measurement gap. The UE may transmit a report of the cross-link interference signal strength measurement to the base station.

Abstract: Various designs for reference signals for beam management (BM) in non-terrestrial networks (NTNs) in 5G systems are discussed. NTN platforms determine to transmit a BM reference signal associated with a beam in an NTN. The BM reference signal is configured to facilitate beam switching at a wireless communication entity, and the beam having a beam bandwidth. The NTN platforms determines a frequency resource for transmitting the BM reference signal, and transmits, to a wireless communication entity, the BM reference signal in the determined frequency resource. The wireless communication entity monitors the frequency resource, receives the BM reference signal associated with the beam in the frequency resource, and manages beam selection based on the received BM reference signal. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described that may enable a user equipment (UE) to monitor a shared spectrum to receive control signaling and data transmissions associated with different transmission time intervals (TTIs). For example, a base station may communicate with a UE according to a first transmission mode during a first, shortened TTI. The base station may transmit a downlink control channel for a shortened TTI based on a subset of a number of blind decodes or control channel elements. Additionally, a downlink control channel for a shortened TTI may contain grants for multiple TTIs. In some cases, the base station may transmit a signaling to the UE via a reference signal, downlink control channel, or radio resource control which may indicate a change from the shortened-TTI transmission mode to a transmission mode with a TTI duration that is longer than the first, shortened TTI duration.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. In some cases, due to blind decoding and channel estimation (CE) limits, one or more user equipment (UE) specific search sets may be pruned for blind decoding and/or CE purposes. For instance, after hashing a set of common decoding candidates to control channel elements (CCEs) within the control region, the UE specific search sets may be pruned so as to conform to the blind decode limitation, since a common search space has already occupied a portion of the total blind decode limit. Following pruning, the UE may hash the sets of UE-specific decoding candidates associated with the one or more UE specific search sets to CCEs within the control region. The UE may further prune UE specific search sets, based on CE limits, while reusing CE for overlapping hashed locations.

A user equipment (UE) may identify a minimum scheduling delay and may receive a downlink grant on a first CC. The UE may further identify the slot in which a downlink data transmission corresponding to the downlink grant will be received, and may identify the slot such that the minimum scheduling delay is satisfied. The UE may the receive the downlink data transmission, as indicated in the downlink grant, in the identified slot. In some examples, the UE and the base station may alternate between a long minimum scheduling delay and a short minimum scheduling delay. In some examples, the UE and the base station may alternate between a cross-carrier mode, and a self-scheduling mode.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that support slot format determination for extended cyclic prefix (ECP) transmissions using normal cyclic prefix (NCP) slot formats. A slot format indicator (SFI) for NCP slots may identify transmission directions (e.g., uplink symbols, downlink symbols, or flexible symbols) for different symbols within a slot, and the SFI may provide an indication of a particular slot format that is to be used. Starting and ending times of each NCP symbol in a slot may be time domain mapped to starting and ending times of each ECP symbol in the slot. A transmission direction of each ECP symbol may be determined based at least in part on the transmission direction of at least a portion of at least one NCP symbol that fully or partially overlaps in the time domain with a corresponding ECP symbol.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to enhanced procedures for search, measurement, and positioning with aid of motion detection information. According to certain aspects, a method is provided for wireless communications which may be performed, for example, by a user equipment (UE). The method generally includes determining one or more parameters of the UE; dynamically adjusting a periodicity of at least one of: cell search and measurements or global positioning system (GPS) signal acquisition based, at least in part, on the one or more parameters; and performing at least one of: the cell search and measurements or GPS signal acquisition according to the adjusted periodicity. In aspects, an enhanced technique for motion state detection is provided. The method may result in power savings, for example, when the UE is stationary and can reduce the periodicity that the UE performs search, measurement and GPS signal acquisition.
