摘要: When heating and bending glass sheets in a furnace, it is desirable to raise the sheets towards the furnace heat sources to increase obtainable temperature differentials and reduce heating power. Disclosed is a method of bending a glass sheet on an apparatus comprising an elongate furnace divided along its length into a plurality of heating zones, each heating zone having an upper part, the method comprising the steps of supporting the glass sheet on a bending mould; moving the glass sheet through the zones of the furnace in a plurality of intermittent steps, each step substantially corresponding in length to the distance separating corresponding points of successive heating zones; exposing the glass sheet during its passage through said heating zones to a succession of furnace heat sources contained in the upper part of each zone of said furnace; heating the glass sheet to a heat-softened condition as a result of said exposure; allowing the heat-softened glass sheet to sag into conformity with said bending mould; and raising the bending i-nould, while still supporting the glass sheet, towards the furnace heat sources in at least one of the heating zones. The bent glass sheet may be used in the manufacture of a vehicle glazing.

摘要: A press die set includes a hollow cylindrical guide bush mounted on a punch holder, a cylindrical retainer received within the guide bush, and a columnar guide post vertically mounted on a die holder and received within the retainer. First right angle grooves are formed on the outer surface of the guide post parallel to a longitudinal axis of the guide post. First planar surfaces are formed on an outer surface of the guide post parallel to the longitudinal axis of the guide post and perpendicular to a radius of the guide post. Second right angle grooves are formed on the inner surface of the guide bush parallel to a longitudinal axis of the guide bush. Second planar surfaces are formed on the inner surface of the guide bush parallel to the longitudinal axis of the guide bush and perpendicular to a radius of the guide bush. Cross roller bearings are positioned between the first and second right angle grooves, and plain roller bearings are positioned between the first and second planar surfaces.

摘要: A furnace for heating a glass sheet therein has a gravity bending zone for bending the glass sheet due to gravity, a press bending zone for bending the glass sheet under pressure, and an annealing zone for annealing the bent glass sheet. In the gravity bending zone, the glass sheet on a ring mold is preliminarily bent due to gravity. After the preliminarily bent glass sheet has been fed from the gravity bending zone into the press bending zone, the glass sheet is transferred from the ring mold to a movable lower mold assembly. The lower mold assembly is lifted to press the glass sheet against a fixed upper mold for finally bending the glass sheet. Thereafter, the lower mold with the finally bent glass sheet is lowered until the glass sheet is placed on the ring mold. Then, the glass sheet is fed with the ring mold into the annealing zone in which the glass sheet is annealed.

摘要: A method and apparatus for carrying out a roving bobbin exchange operation when applied to a conventional ring spinning frame. The roving bobbin exchange operation is simultaneously carried out on a plurality of successive pairs of a front bobbin hanger and a back bobbin hanger of the creel portion of the spinning frame by intermittently displacing the operation unit along the spinning frame and by utilizing a plurality of pairs of a first sub-peg unit having a front peg and a back peg, and a second sub-peg unit having a front peg and a back peg unit, whereby a roving bobbin mounted on the front peg of the first sub-peg unit can be transferred to the back peg of the second sub-peg unit, and vice versa, during the exchange operation, and thus the unit roving bobbin exchange operation can be carried out in a very limited space defined by twice a pitch between two adjacent pairs of a front bobbin hanger and a back bobbin hanger facing the first bobbin hanger.

摘要: A process for producing a fish paste product, for example, fish paste made to look like crab meat, having the steps of forming a fish paste material into a sheet, cutting the sheet into fibers or strips extending in the longitudinal direction of the sheet, winding the sheet into a rod-like shape, and cutting the material with the rod-like shape to a predetermined length. The surface of the sheet is coated with a dye over a predetermined width, and the sheet cut into fibers or strips is wound in such a way that the colored surface portion forms the outer surface of the material with the rod-like shape. Also disclosed is a coloring nozzle which is suitable for use in the process for producing the fish paste product.

摘要: There is disclosed an improved apparatus for locally heating selected portions of glass sheets conveyed through a tunnel type furnace on a roller conveyor. The apparatus comprises two localized heaters positioned within the furnace, supporting members for supporting the localized heaters, at least one portion of each of the supporting members extending into the furnace, and a drive mechanism positioned externally of the furnace and adapted to reciprocatingly moving the localized heaters in a direction transversely to the direction of conveyance of the glass sheets in a substantially synchronized relation to movement of the conveyed glass sheets so that the selected portions of the glass sheets are locally heated by the localized heaters and can thereafter be bent, at a bending station, to a much smaller radius of curvature than the rest of the glass sheet.

摘要: An information signal recording medium reproducing apparatus comprises an equalizer supplied with a frequency modulated composite video signal picked up from an information signal recording medium, a frequency demodulator for frequency-demodulating an output signal of the equalizer into a composite video signal, a synchronizing signal separating circuit for separating a horizontal synchronizing signal from the composite video signal, and a switching signal generating circuit for forming a switching signal from the horizontal synchronizing signal. The equalizer is supplied with the switching signal and has such a circuit construction that a frequency at which an output level versus frequency characteristic of the equalizer has a peak is reduced responsive to the switching signal during a predetermined time period in a vicinity of the front edge of the horizontal synchronizing signal to correct a distorted waveform of the frequency modulated composite signal caused by defects in the information signal recording medium.
