Abstract: An imaging device for monitoring a skin feature includes a camera, at least one processor and memory. The imaging device displays a body area guide, receives a selection of a body area, initiates an image sequence of the body area, the image sequence including capturing, using the camera, a plurality of images, determines whether all body areas have been imaged, analyzes the images, and provides the analyzed images to a clinician. The imaging device can be part of a system including a server in communication with a monitor, where the clinician views the images on the monitor. Additionally, each skin feature can be ranked in order of risk and presented to the clinician in that order.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides sports apparatus including sports headwear and an impact detection arrangement for coupling to the sports headwear, e.g. a rugby scrum cap, to be worn by a user. The arrangement has a sensor for detecting an indication of an acceleration change experienced by the user's head when the sports headwear is being worn. The arrangement also has a visual indicator, e.g. an arrangement of LEDs, to provide a visual indication when the detected acceleration change exceeds a threshold. Advantageously, the present disclosure allows for immediate attention to be drawn to a player who has experienced a high g-force to their head, and therefore immediately alerts anyone in the vicinity that a medical check is needed to assess symptoms caused by the impact.

Abstract: A dermatoscopy device and a method for checking skin lesions are disclosed. The device comprises an enclosed chamber (10); a displacement element (12) to be moved inside the chamber (10); an image acquisition system (20) attached to the displacement element (12); lighting elements (13, 14) and a computing unit (30). The image acquisition system (20) has a stereoscopic camera (21, 22) and a dermatoscopic camera (23). The computing unit (30) analyzes, for each body region, an image acquired by the stereoscopic camera (21, 22); executes a scanning algorithm that detects skin structures in said image and that checks whether said structures fulfill a criteria; upon a given skin structure is determined as fulfilling the criteria, executes a motion algorithm that moves the displacement element (12) to said given body region; and triggers an order, in order the dermatoscopic camera (23) acquiring, at a determined distance, an image of said skin structure.

Abstract: A medical dressing comprises at least one light source and at least one light sensor fixedly attached to a substrate and configured to measure a reddening of a portion of skin as an early indicator of phlebitis around the wound site. A method of phlebitis detection and monitoring comprises covering a wound site with a medical dressing comprising at least one light source and at least one light sensor such that the wound site is situated between the two, and whereby reddening of the skin is monitored by analyzing light reflected off the skin.

Abstract: A method of operating a fitness tracking system includes receiving at least one first value and at least one second value for at least one foot action parameter from a sensor during a user workout. The method further includes determining whether the user has experienced a first type of fatigue and a second type of fatigue based on the at least one first value and the at least one second value, wherein the first type of fatigue is defined by different rules than the second type of fatigue. When it is determined that the user experienced the first type of fatigue, a first recommended action is provided to the user via a personal electronic device of the user. When it is determined that the user experienced the second type of fatigue, a second recommended action is provided to the user via the personal electronic device.
