    Abstract: A foot force acquisition apparatus includes a first connecting rod, a pressure signal acquisition board, a second connecting rod rotatably connected with the first connecting rod, and an air tube provided in the first connecting rod and the second connecting rod. An end portion of the second connecting rod is fixedly provided with an elastic foot pad. An air chamber is provided in the elastic foot pad. One end of the air tube is connected with the air chamber. The other end is connected with the pressure signal acquisition board. By providing the pressure signal acquisition board and providing the air chamber in the foot, the air tube spans a joint formed by the first connecting rod and the second connecting rod to acquire the internal pressure value of the air chamber, thus achieving the advantages of simple structure, low cost and high reliability.

    Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for pressure testing coiled tubing (CT) in a well. A CT pressure testing device may include a CT connector for attaching to a CT segment and a pressure test housing defining a pressure chamber. A rod may extend through a top opening of the pressure test housing and through the CT connector to the severed end of the CT segment. A sealing plug coupled to a bottom end of the rod may create an interface between the CT connector and the CT segment. A force activator may apply a force to a top end of the rod, causing the rod to push the sealing plug into the CT segment and tighten the interface. A pump may pressurize the pressure chamber to perform a pressure test on the sealing plug. Accordingly, the CT pressure testing device may establish a well control barrier for the well.

    Abstract: A test unit for measuring internal pressure in a cylindrical glass container includes a support adapted for housing the cylindrical glass container during a test phase, defining a longitudinal axis; a piston for selectively exerting a predetermined axial force in a longitudinal direction substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis and for actuating a plunger movable along the longitudinal axis; at least one measuring sensor for measuring a change in diameter in a transverse direction to the longitudinal axis; a programmable control unit operatively connected to the measuring sensor and configured to correlate a diameter change measured by the measuring sensor in the presence of a predetermined axial force with reference internal pressure values to which the measured diameter change and the predetermined axial force correspond. Associated processes for measuring internal pressure in a cylindrical glass container are further disclosed.

    Abstract: A sensor apparatus includes a mannequin to emulate a human body part. The mannequin includes a core that emulates flexibility of a substantially inflexible skeletal portion of the body part, and a pliant covering. The pliant covering includes a pliant three-dimensional surface that emulates contours of an epidermis of the body part, and at least one pliant three-dimensional interior portion to emulate resiliency of a pliant portion of the body part. At least one pressure sensor is arranged between the three-dimensional surface and the core to sense pressure applied against the pliant three-dimensional surface.

    Abstract: A measuring device for wave energy conversion performance of a comb-typed permeable breakwater with arcuate walls is provided. The measuring device includes four parts: the comb-type permeable breakwater with arcuate walls, a wave height measuring instrument and pressure sensor fixing and adjusting apparatus, a wave height measuring instrument data collecting and processing apparatus and a pressure sensor data collecting and processing apparatus. The comb-typed permeable breakwater includes combined arc-shaped caissons, partition plates, a back plate, a fixing bottom plate and fixing screws. The wave height measuring instrument data collecting and processing apparatus processes data collected by a wave height measuring instrument and outputs for display. The pressure sensor data collecting and processing apparatus analyzes data collected by a pressure sensor and outputs for display. The measuring device has a stable structure, convenient operation and high experimental accuracy.
