摘要: A method for recovering perspective distortion of a coded dot pattern on a surface, comprises generating a stereo-pair of images of a portion of the coded dot pattern, the stereo-pair of images comprising an overlap region comprising a subset of dots of the coded dot pattern that are common to the stereo-pair of images, selecting, in one image of the stereo-pair of images, a focus pattern from the subset of dots, determining a set of potential matches for the focus pattern in the other image of the stereo-pair of images, for each potential match, determining a set of additional dots of the coded dot pattern consistent with a single plane, and selecting a single plane with the highest number of consistent matched dots.

摘要: A method and apparatus for generating a three-dimensional depth map, are provided. The method comprising the steps of: (i) illuminating a target by a pattern projector having background intensity or by a combination of a pattern projector which does not have a background intensity operative together with a flood projector; (ii) capturing at least one image that comprises one or more objects present at the illuminated target; (iii) converting the at least one captured image into data; (iv) processing the data received from the conversion of the at least one captured image while filtering out the projected pattern from the processed data; (v) detecting edges of at least one of the one or more objects present at the illuminated target; and (vi) generating a three-dimensional depth map that comprises the at least one of the one or more objects whose edges have been determined.

摘要: A virtual shockwave creation system comprises an eyewear device that includes a frame, a temple connected to a lateral side of the frame, and a depth-capturing camera. Execution of programming by a processor configures the virtual shockwave creation system to generate, for each of multiple initial depth images, a respective shockwave image by applying a transformation function to the initial three-dimensional coordinates. The virtual shockwave creation system creates a warped shockwave video including a sequence of the generated warped shockwave images. The virtual shockwave creation system presents, via an image display, the warped shockwave video.

摘要: Techniques are described for passive three-dimensional image sensing based on referential image blurring. For example, a filter mask is integrated with a lens assembly to provide one or more normal imaging bandpass (NIB) regions and one or more reference imaging bandpass (RIB) regions, the regions being optically distinguishable and corresponding to different focal lengths and/or different focal paths. As light rays from a scene object pass through the different regions of the filter mask, a sensor can detect first and second images responsive to those light rays focused through the NIB region and the RIB region, respectively (according to their respective focal lengths and/or respective focal paths). An amount of blurring between the images can be measured and correlated to an object distance for the scene object. Some embodiments project additional reference illumination to enhance blurring detection in the form of reference illumination flooding and/or spotted illumination.

摘要: In some aspects, the present disclosure provides a method for sharing a single optical sensor between multiple image processors. In some embodiments, the method includes receiving, at a control arbiter, a first desired configuration of a first one or more desired configurations for capturing an image frame by the optical sensor, the first one or more desired configurations communicated from a primary image processor. The method may also include receiving, at the control arbiter, a second desired configuration of a second one or more desired configurations for capturing the image frame by the optical sensor, the second one or more desired configurations communicated from a secondary image processor. The method may also include determining, by the control arbiter, an actual configuration for capturing the image frame by the optical sensor, the actual configuration based on the first desired configuration and the second desired configuration.
