A cylinder head assembly for an internal combustion engine houses a camshaft position sensor for determining an angular position of a camshaft. A cylinder head upper is disposed between a cylinder head and a cylinder head cover, covering a part of a top opening of the cylinder head. The cylinder head is softly mounted, while the cylinder head upper is rigidly mounted on the cylinder head. The cylinder head upper includes a sensor boss for the camshaft position sensor, so that the camshaft position sensor is facing downward toward a signal plate attached to the camshaft.

A method includes integrating information regarding receiving, transmitting and converting capabilities of each device in a network with regard to signal formats, so that a pertinent transmission path can be determined. Such possible transmission paths can be specified in terms of the order of devices involved in the transmission paths and a signal format between these devices involved. One of the possible transmission paths that match the transmitting device and the transmitted signal format is selected as a pertinent transmission path. The method displays the selected transmission path on a monitor (305), to assist a user to manually establish a pertinent transmission path. According to one aspect of the invention, an apparatus includes a means for storing device capability information. Also included is a memory (306) for storing capability information of other devices. An analog input terminal (302) and a digital input/output terminal (300) are included. A decoder (303) coupled to the digital input/output interface (308) is included. A controller (307) to produce possible transmission paths is included. A monitor (305) for displaying a selected path is included to assist a user in manually selecting the path.

A method and an apparatus for switching input terminals based on a transmitted signal format are disclosed. The method includes issuing a command to a receiver (12) when a format of the signal has changed from digital to analog. The receiver (12) switches to an analog input terminal (122) according to the command. The apparatus includes a transmitter (10) and a receiver (12) connected with each other with a digital interface (14) and an analog interface (16). The transmitter (10) has a command generator (106) that issues the command. The receiver (12) includes a switch (128) to select an input terminal, and a selector to control the switch according to the command provided from the transmitter. The receiver also includes a digital signal processor (124) coupled to the digital interface to decode digital signals.

A method and apparatus for switching input terminals based on device capability are disclosed. The method supplies a digital signal and an analog signal to a device. The method includes examination of whether or not a device is receiving a digital signal in an eligible format. The method also selects an analog input terminal to receive an analog signal unless the digital signal is being provided in the eligible format. The apparatus includes a digital input terminal to receive a digital signal, an analog input terminal to receive an analog signal, an IEEE1394 interface coupled with the digital input terminal, a HD decoder coupled with the IEEE1394 interface, a memory and a selector which selects the digital input terminal if the digital signal is in an eligible format for the device. The apparatus otherwise selects the analog input terminal. The selector may include a controller for examining whether or not the decoder is capable of decoding the digital signal, and a switch controlled by the controller so as to select the digital input terminal if the decoder is capable of decoding the digital signal, otherwise to select the analog input terminal.

Provided are a toner and its production, a developer, an image forming method and an image forming apparatus. The toner has excellent fixation characteristics of good releasability, hot offset resistance, folding resistance, surface glossiness, and OHP transparency. The toner contains a binder resin, a colorant, a release agent and an inorganic particles. The inorganic particles therein contain inorganic particles (A) having the mean primary particle size not less than approximately 5 nm and less than approximately 30 nm and inorganic particles (B) having the mean primary particle size not less than approximately 30 nm and less than approximately 200 nm.

A method of forming a metal feedstock from wasted metal products is disclosed. The method includes the steps of crushing the metal products into pieces; magnetically separating sheet-shaped ferrous scraps and ferrous cast blocks from the crushed pieces; placing the cast blocks between the sheet-shaped scraps to make a sandwich structure; and pressing the sandwich structure to form a metal feedstock.

A sealed compressor has a sealed casing in which a motor section and a compression section are both accommodated, and also has a pipe connector including at least one sleeve. The sleeve has a first end and a second end opposite to each other. The first end is inserted into a sleeve insertion hole defined in the compression section to allow a refrigerant to flow therethrough, while the second end is hermetically brazed to a copper pipe disposed outside the sealed casing. The sleeve is formed by deep-drawing a copper-plated steel plate into a generally cylindrical shape.
