Abstract:
The machine element selection support system comprises a database apparatus and a selection support server, while the selection support server is connected to a network. A customer, who wishes to select a machine element, gains access to the selection support server using a customer terminal. The selection support server receives, from the customer terminal, information relevant to the specifications and operating conditions of machine elements to be selected, the purchase conditions of the machine elements, and machine element selection information including information relevant to the output mode of information relevant to selection candidates, extracts selection candidates in accordance with not only the specifications and operating conditions information but also information stored in the specification databases and, in accordance with an output mode received, outputs to the customer terminal information relevant to the selection candidates that can satisfy purchase conditions of the extracted selection candidates.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an optical transmission device with a simple configuration that can attenuate an input optical power only when it is necessary so that it falls within a predetermined range, and can suppress insertion loss when it is unnecessary. A variable optical attenuator is configured pluggable. A pluggable variable optical attenuator is equipped with an optical connector that is an interface of an optical signal and an electrical signal connector for receiving an electrical signal that specifies the amount of control used for feedback-controlling the attenuation, and controls the attenuation depending on the input optical power of the optical transmission board. Moreover, an optical through that has the same shape as the variable optical attenuator being configured pluggable and that is configured pluggable is prepared.
Abstract:
To provide an exposure method and an exposure apparatus, using a complementary divided mask, designed to enable alignment of a complementary divided mask at a high precision over the entire region of a semiconductor wafer. Further, to provide a semiconductor device fabricated by the exposure method and a method of producing a semiconductor device using the exposure method. In a first region at a middle portion of a semiconductor wafer, the complementary divided mask is aligned by die-by-die alignment method based on detection results of positions of alignment marks provided at the respective chips and the regions are exposed, while in a second region, outside of the first region, where alignment on the complementary divided mask by die-by-die alignment method cannot be used, coordinates of the respective chip in the second region are decided by global alignment method based on detection results of positions of alignment marks detected in the first step and the complementary divided mask is aligned and the regions are exposed.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device production process for forming a circuit pattern on a substrate such as semiconductor device. To enable a stable inspection of a minute foreign particle and a pattern defect occurring in manufacture of a device at a high speed and with a high sensitivity, an object to be inspected on which a transparent film is formed, is irradiated with a beam which is emitted from an illuminator whose illumination direction and illumination angle are selected from a plurality of choices to be optimum, so that scattered reflected light from a minute foreign particle defect on the object or the transparent film is effectively detected by eliminating a noise from the pattern formed on the object, and a detection optical system is optimized by evaluating and adjusting, with an image forming performance checker, an image forming performance of the detection optical system included in an inspecting apparatus.
Abstract:
A dispersion compensating fiber whose chromatic dispersion is positive and a negative dispersion compensating fiber whose chromatic dispersion is negative are prepared, and division-multiplexed optical signals, after being guided to either dispersion compensating fiber to once shift the whole wavelength band to positivity or negativity, are subjected to fine adjustment with a dispersion compensating fiber of a reverse sign.

Abstract:
A medicament for preventive and/or therapeutic treatment of constipation and/or a symptom resulting from constipation which comprises magnesium polycarbophil as an active ingredient. The medicament of the present invention can exhibit high efficacy by promoting a normal defecation without causing a side effect such as a watery stool, an overloose stool, or hypercalcemia.
Abstract:
In an edge-light-type surface light source device, a reflecting means for reflecting light is provided on portions of a first frame that surround each linear light source and other reflecting means are provided on portions of a second frame that are opposed to a reflection surface of a light guide plate and each linear light source, respectively. As a result, lamp reflectors and a reflection sheet of a conventional surface light source device can be omitted. The reflecting members, which are made of a high-reflectance metal such as silver, are formed by common evaporation, a method of applying paste containing fine metal particles, a method of a thin metal plate integrally with each of the first and second frames.
Abstract:
An optical transmission apparatus comprising a first detector for detecting the power of the supervisory signal light separated from received wavelength-division multiplexed signal lights; a second detector for detecting the power of the wavelength-division multiplexed signal lights after the separation of the supervisory signal light; a gain-controlled type optical amplifier for amplifying the wavelength-division multiplexed signal lights; an optical attenuator coupled to the amplifier; and a control unit for controlling the optical amplifier and the optical attenuator so as to keep the output level of the wavelength-division multiplexed signal lights to a predetermined target value, wherein the control unit restrains automatic output level control by the optical attenuator when the supervisory signal light power fluctuates within its permissible range and fluctuations in the signal light power have deviated from its permissible range.
Abstract:
A sample is processed while suppressing film deposition generated during plasma processing and fogging on a measurement window caused by etching to stably detect floating contaminants in a processing chamber with an improved contaminant capture rate. A particle detector is provided in the processing chamber, except for a space defined between electrodes of the plasma generator or a portion above the platform in which the plasma is generated. Laser light for scanning is emitted from the measurement window to the processing chamber, so that the particle detector detects scattered light from contaminants present in the processing chamber. The particle detector detects contaminants based on the detected scattered light during operation of the processing apparatus.
