摘要： A discharge lamp includes a luminous bulb in which a luminous material is enclosed and a pair of electrodes are opposed to each other in the luminous bulb; and a pair of sealing portions for sealing a pair of metal foils electrically connected to the pair of electrodes, respectively. Each of the pair of metal foils has an external lead on a side opposite to a side electrically connected to a corresponding electrode of the pair of electrodes. At least one of the pair of sealing portions is provided with a reflective film on a surface of the sealing portion in a portion where a connection portion of the external lead and the metal foil is sealed. The reflective film contains a material having a reflectance larger than that of a material constituting the sealing portion.

摘要： A chemical mat film having good writability and printability is disclosed which includes a transparent film, a chemical mat layer provided on one or both sides of the transparent film and containing finely divided solid particles which provide surface roughness, and an overcoat layer formed of a polymeric material and provided over the surface of the chemical mat layer, the overcoat layer having a surface roughness which is substantially coincident with that of the chemical mat layer. The chemical mat film may be used as a substrate of a photosensitive film for supporting a photosensitive layer thereon.

摘要： A method for producing an extrusion die which is employed to extrude a ceramic honeycomb structure for use as a catalyst carrier or support for purifying exhaust gases of an automobile or the like, is disclosed. The method comprises the steps of preparing a first and a second metallic block, forming a plurality of discrete feed passages in the first metallic block, forming a grid network of pooling slots from one end surface of the first metallic block or one end surface of the second metallic block, forming a grid network of extrusion slots from one end surface of the second metallic block towards the other opposed end surface thereof to such a depth as to leave an unopened portion along the other opposed end surface of the second metallic block, joining the one end surface of the first metallic block to the one end surface of the second metallic block so that the feed passages, the pooling slots and the extrusion slots are interconnected in order, and removing the unopened portion from the second metallic block so that the extrusion slots are opened.

摘要： An extrusion die for extruding a honeycomb structure having a thick outer peripheral wall without generating any distortion or deformation therein, comprises a die body provided with a plurality of disconnected feed passageways and interconnected grid-shaped extrusion slots, an annular die mask which is closely contacted with the outer peripheral portion of the outlet face of the die body. In the outlet face of the die body, along the inner peripheral wall of the die mask, an annular groove of which depth is smaller than that of the extrusion slots is formed so as to open in the extruding direction.
