    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A transmitting device may identify a set of allocated resource blocks and a number of the allocated resource blocks. The transmitting device may determine a bit sequence length corresponding to the number of allocated resource blocks. The transmitting device may generate a reference signal based on a bit sequence having the bit sequence length and transmit the reference signal within the allocated resource blocks. The transmitting device may modulate the bit sequence using a π/2 binary phase shift keying modulation scheme. The transmitting device may modulate a data bit sequence using the same modulation scheme to generate a modulated data bit sequence, where a peak to average power ratio (PAPR) of tones transporting the modulated data bit sequence satisfies a PAPR threshold and a PAPR of tones transporting the reference signal also satisfies the PAPR threshold.

A first device may receive a first reference signal from a second device and may generate a channel status feedback message based on the first reference signal. The first device may bundle the second reference signal and the channel status feedback message and may transmit the second reference signal and the channel status feedback to the second device.     Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate generally to wireless communications systems, and more particularly, to soft combining of control information. For example, certain aspects provide a method for wireless communication. The method generally includes monitoring for control information in each of a plurality of physical downlink control channel (PDCCHs) during a different one of a plurality of time intervals, wherein the PDCCHs contain the same control information that indicates a resource allocation within a respective one of the time intervals for receiving one of a plurality of physical downlink shared channels (PDSCHs), wherein data in each of the plurality of PDSCHs is the same. In certain aspects, the method also includes soft-combining the plurality of PDCCHs to decode the control information, and decoding the control information based on the soft-combination of the plurality of PDCCHs.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive an uplink grant that schedules uplink shared channel transmissions of a first length. The UE may then determine the actual lengths of the transmissions, which may differ from each other and the scheduled length (e.g., due to conditions of the communication environment, such as the location of slot boundaries). The UE may also identify uplink control information to be multiplexed on the uplink shared channel (e.g., when the scheduled transmission overlaps with a control channel or based on an uplink grant for the uplink control information). The UE may multiplex the uplink control information on the uplink shared channel so as to maintain the same rate-matching scheme and the same coding scheme for each of the transmissions, and transmit the uplink control information in at least one of the transmissions.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may identify an overlap in time between at least a first occasion and a second occasion in a slot. In some cases, the first occasion may be semi-persistently scheduled for the UE according to a first configuration associated with a first priority level, and the second occasion may be semi-persistently scheduled for the UE according to a second configuration associated with a second priority level. The UE may apply, based on the identified overlap, a conflict resolution rule to the first occasion and the second occasion based on the first priority level for the first occasion and the second priority level for the second occasion, communicate in the slot using the first occasion, and refrain from communicating in the slot using the second occasion based on applying the conflict resolution rule.

    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a base station, information identifying one or more control channel monitoring span capabilities. The UE may receive, from the base station, information identifying a plurality of control channel monitoring occasions. The UE may generate a bitmap based at least in part on the plurality of control channel monitoring occasions. The UE may determine, in accordance with the bitmap and based at least in part on the information identifying the one or more control channel monitoring span capabilities, a span pattern indicating one or more locations of one or more spans in a slot.     Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may configure uplink resources within a slot to enable a user equipment (UE) to transmit an acknowledgment (ACK) feedback message for multiple downlink semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) configurations. For example, the base station may transmit an additional configuration to the UE that indicates uplink resources that the UE can use to transmit acknowledgment feedbacks for multiple downlink messages received according to the SPS configurations, where the UE determines which uplink resource to use based on a number of acknowledgment information bits to be transmitted for the acknowledgment feedback message. For example, if the number of acknowledgment information bits is below a threshold value, the UE may use a first uplink resource configured by the base station. Alternatively, if the number of acknowledgment information bits is above the threshold value, the UE may use a second uplink resource.
