Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A wireless device may identify, for an initial slot of a periodic interval, a number of symbols included in the initial slot and a length of cyclic prefixes used for the symbols included in the initial slot based on a subcarrier spacing that is configured for wireless communication. The length of a first set of cyclic prefixes may be based on a length of a cyclic prefix calculated for an initial symbol of the initial slot at the configured subcarrier spacing. The wireless device may perform communications based on the determined number of symbols and length of cyclic prefixes included in the initial slot. Performing communications may include allocating resources based on a length of the cyclic prefixes used for the symbols included in the initial slot.

Abstract: A method of wireless communication may include transmitting an uplink slot with a first control region, a second control region, and (e.g., optionally) a data region. Each region may include time resources and frequency resources. Transmitting the uplink slot may include transmitting the first control region in an earlier part of the uplink slot and transmitting the second control region (e.g., and the data region) in a later part of the uplink slot. The first control region may include time-critical control information and the second control region may include non-time-critical control information. A receiver receiving the uplink slot may receive the first control region before receiving the data region and the second control region.

The apparatus may encode a plurality of bits associated with QAM, the plurality of bits corresponding to a circular buffer associated with at least one RV, the plurality of bits including a plurality of systematic bits. The apparatus may also transfer the plurality of bits from the circular buffer associated with the at least one RV to a first buffer and a second buffer. Additionally, the apparatus may map the plurality of bits from the first buffer and the second buffer to a plurality of modulation symbols.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive first control signaling identifying a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) pattern that may be uniformly distributed in a time domain and a frequency domain. The DMRS pattern may include a first set of resource elements for the DMRS, a second set of resource elements for guard tones adjacent to and greater in frequency than the first set of resource elements, and a third set of resource elements for guard tones adjacent to and lower in frequency than the first set of resource elements. The UE may receive second control signaling that schedules a data signal to be communicated between the UE and a network node in a set of time-frequency resources. The UE may communicate the data signal according to the second control signaling and the DMRS according to the DMRS pattern.

Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a UE determines a configuration of a common PUCCH resource set that is based on a frequency hopping pattern and includes a first set of resource blocks (RBs) of a bandwidth part (BWP) in a first group of symbols and a second set of RBs of the BWP in a second group of symbols. In some designs, the second set of RBs is offset in frequency from the first set of RBs by a fixed hopping distance. In other designs, the BWP is further associated with a second PUCCH resource set that includes a third set of RBs of the BWP that overlaps in part with the first set of RBs of the BWP in the first group of symbols, a fourth set of RBs of the BWP that overlaps in part with the second set of RBs of the BWP in the second group of symbols, or a combination thereof.

Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to multiplexing uplink control channel signals from different users are provided. A first wireless communication device obtains an uplink control channel multiplex configuration indicating a first frequency spreading sequence and at least one of a second frequency spreading sequence or a first spatial direction. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A wireless device may generate a orthogonal time frequency space (OTFS) waveform for transmission to a second wireless device. Generation of an OTFS waveform may include mapping information samples to a delay-Doppler resource grid having a set of delay values and a set of Doppler values. A channel estimation block may occupy one or more rows of the delay-Doppler grid. When mapping information samples to the delay-Doppler grid, the transmitting device may first map information samples in the delay dimension (e.g., first map all of the symbols in one column of the delay-Doppler grid before mapping information samples into a second column). Such a mapping scheme may reduce the distance from any given information sample to the channel estimation block.

The UE may monitor for one or both of the first downlink message or the second downlink message during the time slot based on the one or more control signalings and the capability message. The capability message may indicate a capability of the UE to receive a single downlink message or receive more than one downlink message during the time slot.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may identify a beam switching capability for a subcarrier spacing for communications between the UE and a base station. In one example, the beam switching capability may indicate a quantity of beam switches for a plurality of slots of a transmission time interval. In another example, the capability may indicate a threshold quantity of symbol periods between beam switching operations associated with the subcarrier spacing, or a beam switching time for the subcarrier spacing, or both. The UE may determine, for the identified beam switching capability, one or more parameter values that indicate the identified beam switching capability. The parameters may explicitly or implicitly indicate the identified capability. The UE may also transmit the determined one or more parameter values to the base station and communicate with the base station according to the identified beam switching capability.
