摘要: Systems and methods for handling of heterogeneous support for Slice Maximum Bit Rate (S-MBR) enforcement are disclosed. In one embodiment, a method performed in a core network of a cellular communications system comprises, at an Access and Mobility Management Function (AMF), obtaining information about whether a Radio Access Network (RAN) node supports S-MBR enforcement and sending, to a Session Management Function (SMF), a message that comprises an indication of whether the RAN node supports S-MBR enforcement. The method further comprises, at the SMF, sending, to a Policy and Control Function (PCF), a message that comprises an indication of whether the RAN node supports S-MBR enforcement. The method further comprises, at the PCF, making a determination of whether to apply a mechanism to enforce S-MBR for Protocol Data Unit (PDU) session of a wireless communication device on a network slice based on the received indication, and operating accordingly.

摘要: A method performed by a User Equipment, UE, is provided. The UE receives (s302) a first message comprising a group identifier, ID, allocated for a particular multicast-broadcast services, MBS, session. While camping on radio access network, RAN, node that does not support MBS services and while being in a radio resource control, RRC, state other than RRC_CONNECTED, the UE receives (s304) from the RAN node a paging message. The UE determines (s306) whether the paging message comprises the group ID.

摘要: A technique for a device (100) to manage a data flow (608; 618) in a wireless communication system is described. As to a method aspect of the technique, a time period for which the data flow (608; 618) has been inactive is obtained. The data flow (608; 618) is defined by a Quality of Service, QoS, requirement of data associated with the data flow (608; 618). Based on the time period, it is determined to release a mapping between the data flow (608; 618) and a radio bearer (610).

摘要: According to an embodiment, a method for use in a wireless device is provided. The method comprises waking up from a discontinuous reception (DRX) mode in a cell. The method further comprises determining whether the cell is the same as a previous cell of the wireless device. In response to determining that the cell is not the same as the previous cell, the method further comprises determining whether the wireless device missed a wake-up signal opportunity in the cell. The method further comprises monitoring each of the paging occasions associated with the wake-up signal opportunity if the cell is not the same as the previous cell and the wake-up signal opportunity was missed.

摘要: A method performed by an Access and mobility Management Function (AMF). The method includes receiving from a Session Management Function (SMF) a request to establish User Plane (UP) for a user equipment's (UE's) protocol data unit (PDU) session. The request includes information indicating an access type. The method also includes, in response to the request, performing the steps of: determining that the UE is in the idle state with respect to both a 3GPP access and a non-3GPP access and, as a result of determining that the UE is in the idle state with respect to both a 3GPP access and a non-3GPP access, the AMF initiates paging of the UE by the 3GPP access, the paging initiation comprising transmitting to a Radio Access Network, RAN, node a page request to page the UE.

摘要: A computer implemented method for managing resources in a RAN of a communication network is disclosed. The method, performed by a first node in the RAN, comprises obtaining a record of resource status information describing usage, during a historical time period and within a coverage area of the first node, of RAN resources controlled by the first node (2102), and using an ML process to predict, based on the obtained record, resource status information describing usage of RAN resources controlled by the first node within a coverage area of the first node and during a future time period (2104). The method further comprises sending, to a second node in the RAN, a representation of the predicted resource status information (2106). Also disclosed is a method performed by a second node in which the second node uses a received representation of predicted resource status information for RAN resources controlled by a first node in a process relating to management of RAN resources controlled by the second node (2304).

摘要: Embodiments include methods performed by a radio access network (RAN) node of a wireless communication system. Such methods include receiving, from a wireless device via a cell, a request to resume an RRC connected state with the wireless communication network. The request includes a cause indicator that indicates mobility signaling as a cause for resuming the RRC connected state. Such methods include, based on the cause indicator, requesting an access and mobility management function (AMF) of the wireless communication system to perform a tracking area update (TAU) for the wireless device. Such methods include receiving from the AMF an indication that the TAU for the wireless device is complete and in response to the received indication, initiating an access-stratum (AS) procedure for the wireless device. Other embodiments include complementary methods for AMFs as well as RAN node and AMFs configured to perform such methods.

摘要: The present disclosure generally relates to the field of Radio Resource Control (RRC). More specifically, the present disclosure relates to techniques of supporting and initiating RRC connection establishment in a wireless communication network. A method embodiment relates to supporting RRC connection establishment in a wireless communication network and comprises setting up context information during a first RRC connection establishment procedure to establish a first RRC connection towards a radio access network element (200) of the wireless communication network implementing a first Radio Access Technology (RAT). The context information is associated with a wireless communication device (100) of the wireless communication network and is usable for a second RRC connection establishment procedure to establish a second RRC connection towards a radio access network element of the wireless communication network implementing a second RAT.
