摘要: A surface treating method uses an electric discharge machining to form a coating layer having strong adhesion and excellent characteristics on a metal surface such as a hard metal. A discharge electrode is formed by powders containing metal hydride. Electric discharge is generated in a working fluid containing carbon between the discharge electrode and a workpiece. Thus, a coating layer of the metal hydride is formed on a surface of the workpiece.

摘要: An electrical discharge machine for applying a pulsed voltage to a machining gap between an electrode and a workpiece disposed opposite thereto. An insulating dielectric fluid, comprising an oil or water with compound additive, is disposed in the gap. A positive polarity voltage and an opposite polarity voltage are applied via switches and respective impedances to the machining gap in order to generate a discharge for machining the workpiece. The impedance values may be selectively set and the switching of the voltages controlled such as to apply a positive polarity voltage at the stop time of an opposite polarity pulsed voltage, whereby the average voltage approximates a predetermined value, preferably zero, during the stop time. Voltage control during the stop time will result in high speed and finish, especially for control in connection with a jump operation.

摘要: An edible body composed of a cellulose having a crystal form of cellulose II, which is regenerated from an aqueous solution of an alkali metal hydroxide, and at least one guest component selected from polypeptides and edible polysaccharides. The cellulose II or a homogeneous mixture of the cellulose II and polysaccharide is present in the form of a sea component or a continuous phase in an amount of at least 10% based on the edible body. The edible body is made by adding at least one guest component selected from polypeptides, polysaccharides and living body constituents composed mainly thereof to an alkali solution in which up to 50 parts by weight of an undissolved cellulose is swollen and dispersed per 100 parts by weight of a dissolved cellulose, directly or after dissolution in an aqueous solution of an alkali, to form a dope in which at least 50% by weight of the total guest component is dissolved, extruding the dope through an extruder, coagulating the extrudate, and neutralizing, water-washing and, if necessary, drying the extrudate.

摘要: A discharge surface treatment apparatus generates a pulsed discharge between poles, that is, between a discharge electrode and a workpiece, and the discharge electrode is obtained by compression-molding of any one of a metal powder, a powder of a metal compound, and a powder of ceramics or a mixture thereof. The apparatus forms a film made of an electrode material or the like on a workpiece surface by thermal energy due to the discharge. The apparatus includes: a capacitor that is connected to any one of the discharge electrode and the workpiece at one end; and a parallel circuit of a resistor and a diode, which is provided between another one of the discharge electrode and the workpiece and another end of the capacitor via a connection line.
