摘要: Light beam focusing components direct light from the top surface of a touch screen display to one or more imagers. The imager or imagers capture one or more images of the top surface of the touch screen display. A processing unit analyzes the image or images to determine the position of an input device on or near the top surface of the touch screen display.

摘要: A method comprising running an error correction code on data and storing the data and the result of the error correction code in memory, running an error correction code on the data when it is read from the memory, comparing the results of the error correction codes on the data from before and after the memory, correcting errors when the comparator determines a difference in the results of the error correction codes and lowering the operating voltage of the memory array while using the error correction.

摘要: The present invention provides methods and compositions for interaction trap assays for detecting protein-protein, protein-DNA, or protein-RNA interactions. The methods and compositions of the invention may also be used to identify agents which may agonize or antagonize a protein-protein, protein-DNA, or protein-RNA interactions. In certain embodiments, the interaction trap system of the invention is useful for screening libraries with greater than 107 members. In other embodiments, the interaction trap system of the invention is used in conjunction with flow cytometry. The invention further provides a means for simultaneously screening a target protein or nucleic acid sequence for the ability to interact with two or more test proteins or nucleic acids.

摘要: A benefit plan system is provided with multiple categories of benefits. The benefits are subject to controls, which are independently variable. The controls can comprise one or more of limit amounts, deductible amounts, coinsurance percentages and copay amounts. A catastrophic attachment point (CAP) can represent a predetermined incurred expense amount, a medical condition or some other criteria. Major medical benefits can be available upon reaching the CAP, and likewise have independently variable controls. A benefit method is provided in includes the steps of providing limited medical benefits, assigning independently variable controls, providing a CAP, providing major medical benefits when incurred expenses exceed the CAP and negotiating with healthcare providers for favorable pricing within said controls. Additional CAPs can be provided, and can correspond to other criteria such as medical conditions, etc.

摘要: A connector system for terminating an optical fiber cable having a protective outer jacket. The system includes a connector plug and a crimp insert having an axial bore. A distal end of the insert is formed to be joined to a proximal end of the connector plug. A first portion of the insert bore has a diameter corresponding to an outside diameter of the cable jacket. A second portion of the insert bore has a diameter corresponding to an outer diameter of an unjacketed end of the cable. The insert deforms when crimped at axially spaced positions on its periphery, correspondonding to the first and the second portions of the insert bore. Thus, both the outer jacket and the unjacketed end of the cable are restrained from axial movement with respect to the insert and connector plug.
