Abstract:
An opening and closure device for a sliding door, comprising a first driving motor for moving first driving elements associated with the sliding door and second sliding and guiding means interposed between the sliding door and a fixed frame. Said device has a second auxiliary motor that is suitable to produce a first opening movement of the door.
Abstract:
A dual closure system for overhead doors in a structure having a floor, a vertical wall, a ceiling structure, and a rectangular door opening in the wall which extends from the floor upwardly in a direction towards the ceiling has a pair of spaced tracks with a vertical segment extending upwardly from the floor adjacent vertical sides of the door opening, and terminating through curved track segments into a pair of vertically horizontal upper and lower track portions. The curved track segments both have lower ends arcuately merging into alignment with an upper end of the vertical segments of tracks. The upper ends of the curved track segments terminate in vertically spaced horizontal track portions. First and second foldable doors which have sets of rollers on their side edges are movably mounted one each in the horizontal portions of the track so that each door can be individually moved into a vertical position in the vertical segment of the tracks.
Abstract:
A vehicle door for a vehicle comprises an outer door panel, an inner door panel formed with an aperture, a plastic panel to which functional devices of the vehicle door and door parts are installed and which is installed to the inner door panel to close up the aperture of the inner door panel, and an impact absorbing member formed as a part integral with the plastic panel or fixedly secured to the plastic panel which absorbs an impact against the plastic panel upon an occurrence of a side crash of the vehicle.
Abstract:
A vehicle door comprises an outer door panel, an inner door panel formed with an aperture, a plastic mounting panel to which functional devices of the vehicle door and door parts are installed and which is installed to the inner door panel to close up the aperture of the inner door panel, a door lock/unlock mechanism attached to the inner door panel on a far side from the passenger compartment and a linking member connected to the door lock/unlock mechanism through which the door lock/unlock mechanism is operated to lock and unlock the vehicle door. The linking member is arranged so as to passe through a guide hole from near the aperture of the inner door panel and to extend along the plastic mounting panel partly on the far side from the passenger compartment and partly on a near side to the passenger compartment.
Abstract:
A sectional door is disclosed that includes a safety system. The safety system includes a shield apparatus, an improved support track, reverse angle track shields, and hemmed roller track edges to prevent injury or harm to body parts errantly placed within or around the support track during the opening or closing of the sectional door. The sectional door includes a plurality of door sections hingedly joined in an edge-to-edge relationship to form the completed sectional door. The sectional door further include support rollers attached to the door sections, and a pair of support tracks, in which the support rollers are confined. Each support roller further includes a circular or rectangular roller shield that is mounted to the axle of the support roller outside of the support track where it is proximate the support track in such a manner as to limit or prevent any fingers from engaging within the support track with the support rollers. The dimensions of the protective shield is larger than the support rollers so as to provide adequate shielding for the support roller. Protective shield wings are provided to enclose the support track and prevent objects from interfering with the roller as well as to provide transport guidance within the support track where track sections meet. Further, the outer edge of the protective shield is blunted or protected in a manner to prevent harm during operation. The reverse angle track shields are constructed of a solid metal piece so as to prevent objects from passing between the support track and a mounting surface. Additionally, the adjacent edge of the support track is also formed into a folded single hem, either outwardly or inwardly, to prevent fingers from being cut as the fingers are brushed aside by the roller shield.
Abstract:
Apparatus for use in mounting a door on an overhead track comprising a carriage assembly constructed and arranged to be moved horizontally along the track in such a way as to limit upward movement thereof, and a door mounted assembly constructed and arranged to be mounted on an upper edge of the door so as to be moved with the door. The door mounted assembly is movable with the door (1) into an initial position wherein a locking member on the carriage assembly is in an initial vertically aligned position with respect to a locking member receiving opening on the door mounted assembly and (2) from the initial position upwardly with a snap action into a locking position wherein the locking member is in a locking position within the opening. A releasing member on the door mounted assembly is operable when the locking member is in locked relation within the opening to be moved from a normal operative position into a releasing position thereof to enable the door mounted assembly to move downwardly with the door into released relation with respect to the carriage assembly.
Abstract:
A motor vehicle door with an outside door panel, an inside door panel provided with a large cutout, which can be partially covered by a supporting plate, where the supporting plate bears a Bowden cable tube window lifter and possibly additional functional units, such as a lock, side air bag, electric cables, and an inside door trim panel which completes the door on the side toward the motor vehicle interior. The supporting plate is connected on the side facing the outside door panel to a mountinq rail, which partially surrounds the window pane and on which at least one guide rail of the Bowden cable window lifter rests displaceably.
Abstract:
An operator for opening and closing movable barriers such as garage doors comprising a pass-point limit system which is a component of an operating head. An operator for a rolling shutter or gate can be installed on either side of the opening. A dual pass-point system provides a unique pass-point regardless of direction of mounting the operator, regardless of the direction of travel for opening the barrier, and regardless of installation configuration, eliminating the need for the installer to know which direction the motor is rotating or the barrier is travelling. The operator automatically learns both the open and close limits, regardless of direction of travel and without having to press a learn switch to set the open and close limits.
Abstract:
A roller shield apparatus and method for shielding a support roller of a sectional door against a finger being inserted between the support roller and the support track. The roller shield is configured as a disc that is mounted to the axle of the support roller so as to be supported in a plane parallel to the support roller and outside of the support track. The support track includes a single hem to eliminate a sharp edge from the support track.
Abstract:
An elevator door operator for positioning elevator doors along an arcuate pathway includes a linearly displaceable actuator and a pair of linkage arms, each pivotally connected to the other and connected to one end of the linearally displaceable actuator. The linkage arms are also each pivotally connected at their opposite ends to each of two support arms, each of which support arms are pivotally connected at one of their ends to each other and secured at their opposite ends, respectively to each of the door panels. The door operator may be provided as part of a door assembly which additionally includes an upper guide track comprising an elongate bar including at least two generally planar support surfaces, which guide track is mounted above the door opening to define an arcuate door travel pathway, two door panels, suspended from the upper guide track via a carriage assembly which includes a carriage frame and at least two wheels each supported by, and in rolling contact with, at least two of the support surfaces on the guide track, and a hinge pin extending from the carriage frame to pivotally connect the carriage assembly to the door panel. One embodiment operates a single door for positioning along an arcuate pathway.
