Abstract:
A scanner has a motor, a transmission gear set coupled with the motor, a contact image sensor and a belt connected between the transmission gear set and the contact image sensor. A sensing assembly has a casing adapted to be mounted on a side of a screen and a sensor securely received inside the casing to initiate the motor such that the contact image sensor is also driven to scan.
Abstract:
A scanner includes a housing having an upper-case and a low-case, a shaft seat positioned between the upper-case and the lower-case, a shaft set on the shaft seat, a scanning module set on the shaft, a lock for locking the scanning module, and buffer pads. The buffer pads are set between the shaft seat and the shaft and between the shaft seat and either the upper-case or the lower-case. One more buffer pad can be set between the lock and the scanning module.
Abstract:
An imaging device is provided including a script setting plate for setting thereon a script to be read, a script positioning plate located near one end of the script setting plate and supported for up-and-down movements, a script positioning plate supporter selectively taking a support position under the script positioning plate, and a script-pressing cover extending over the script positioning plate and the script setting plate to guide a script against the script setting plate.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a locking apparatus for switching between a lock state and an unlock state of a sliding device in a system. The system has a plug and a socket. The sliding device has a shaft. The locking apparatus has a sliding member, a spring, a hook, and a connecting member. The hook has an end part and a bending portion for locking the shaft. When the plug is plugged into the socket, the locking apparatus unlocks the shaft. When the plug is pulled out from the socket, the locking apparatus locks the shaft.
Abstract:
A scanner unit has first and second carriages under an original table glass. The first carriage has a first frame extending from a front side to a rear side along the original table, that is, in a main scan direction. Two rails for supporting both end portions of the first frame such that the first frame may slide in a sub-scan direction are provided on the front side and rear side of the scanner unit. A cold cathode fluorescent lamp is mounted on the first frame. In order to make a high-voltage-side harness of the cold cathode fluorescent lamp as short as possible, an inverter circuit board, which is a lighting circuit, is disposed as close as possible to a positive electrode of the cold cathode fluorescent lamp. A weight is attached on a side opposite to the inverter circuit board, thereby to stabilize a weight balance of the first frame in the main scan direction.
Abstract:
A supporting plate includes a first engagement portion, first spring portions, a second spring portion and a second engagement portion. The first engagement portion engages protrusions of supporting pins that support a reflective surface of a beam detection mirror in a predetermined position. The first spring portions urge the beam detection mirror toward the supporting pins. The second spring portion urges an upper surface of the beam detection mirror and holds the mirror between a bottom plate and the second spring portion. The second engagement portion engages a flange to prevent the supporting plate from coming off upward against an urging force from the second spring portion.
Abstract:
A facsimile machine includes a main body having a facsimile unit. A document roller that feeds a document is provided in the main body. A sheet feed roller that feeds a recording paper is also provided in the main body. The document roller and the sheet feed roller have a substantially identical shape and are made of a substantially identical material. The document roller and the sheet feed roller have a first side surface and a second side surface opposite to the first side surface. The first side surface has a hole configured to be engaged with a shaft that transmits a drive force and the second side surface has an engaging piece configured to be engaged with a one-way clutch.
Abstract:
An imaging system including a one-piece aluminum internal drum casting having reduced weight and increased stiffness. The internal drum is mounted to the frame structure of the imaging system using a plurality of mounts positioned in a plane substantially along the center of gravity of the internal drum. The mounts reduce the amount of sway of the internal drum within the frame structure.
Abstract:
An automatic paper feeder of a document input device includes a pick roller 20, separator pads 68 that come into contact with the pick roller 20, a first pair of pick springs 58, and a second pick spring 60. The first pick springs 58 are disposed on the upstream side of the second pick spring 60 in the direction of conveying the paper. The first pick springs 58 are disposed on the regions on both outer sides of the width of the separator pads 68 in the axial direction of the roller, and the second pick spring 60 is disposed at a central position in the width of the separator pad 68. The first and second pick springs 58 and 60 are integrally formed as a spring unit using a single metal plate, and a force of contact of the first pick springs 58 upon the pick roller 20 on the upstream side is smaller than a force of contact of the second pick spring 60 upon the pick roller 20 on the downstream side. The separator pad 68 is formed by branching a web 70 of a rubber sheet into fork-like pad units. The spring unit and the pad units are supported together by a bracket 76 and a holder member 78 (FIG. 6).
Abstract:
An imager apparatus useful for a digital architecture lithographic printing system includes a first imager bank having at least one imager configured to produce a first output beam; and a second imager bank having at least one imager configured to produce a second output beam, the second imager bank being located at a first angle with respect to the first imager bank, the first output beam and the second output beam being separated by a second angle which is less than the first angle.
