Abstract:
A system that generates an electronically readable image file that represents an image. In one embodiment, the system comprises an image input, an encoding module, and a tag module. The image input obtains color information representative of an image. The encoding module encodes the color information representative of the image into an image file by encoding the color information into a format associated with the image file. The tag module inserts a tag into the image file, wherein the tag is an object to be rendered, and conveys information about the generation of the image file.
Abstract:
An image input section pre-inputs an image. A temporary storage section temporarily stores the image input by the image input section. An attribute control section controls at least attribute information of the input information temporarily stored in the temporary storage section. A selection section permits a user at the origin of image request to select a desired one of already stored images stored in the temporary storage section in accordance with the attribute information controlled by the attribute control section. An image transfer section reads out the desired image selected by the selection section from the temporary storage section at the time of the request by origin of the image request and transfers the desired image to the origin of the image request via a network.
Abstract:
A signal recording/reproducing apparatus includes a CCD imager. The still image taken by said CCD imager is recorded, together with resolution information, on a recording medium. The recording medium is recorded, together with resolution information, is a still image taken by said digital camera and having a higher resolution than said CCD imager. When a still image is reproduced from said recording medium and displayed on a monitor, a video encoder converts the resolution of a reproduced still image based on resolution information. The converted resolution agrees with a resolution of the monitor. As a result, a reproduced still image is properly displayed on the monitor.
Abstract:
On receiving FAX image data, an image forming apparatus determines whether or not a security code is superimposed on the image data. If superimposed, the image forming apparatus stored the content of the security code and erases the superimposed security code from the image. Thereafter, the image forming apparatus creates a higher-resolution security code including the same information as that of the stored security code. The FAX image is converted into a higher-resolution image. The higher-resolution security code is superimposed on the FAX image with a higher resolution resulted from the conversion, and the resultant FAX image is printed.
Abstract:
An image transfer apparatus includes a history information storage unit configure to store a history information by associating a mail address designated as a destination in a previously performed image transfer with type information indicating a type of the terminal of the image transfer destination. The apparatus allows a first transfer unit to execute the image transfer, when the history information stored in the history information storage unit is designated as the image transfer destination and the type information included in the designated history information indicates a first type in conformity with a Internet system, and allows a second transfer unit to execute the image transfer, when the type information included in the history information designated as the image transfer destination indicates a second type in a predetermined system not to related to the Internet system.
Abstract:
A network facsimile machine (1) is connected to PSTN (3) such that it can receive fax data from a remote facsimile machine (2) over the PSTN (3). The network facsimile machine (1) is also connected to LAN (6) such that it can deliver the received fax data to a designated recipient (4 or 5) on the LAN (6). When a communication control unit (11) of the network facsimile machine (1) receives a ring signal over the PSTN (3) from the remote facsimile machine (2), it performs a communication procedure with the remote facsimile machine (1) and receives data identifying a network final recipient (4 or 5) to which the fax data will be delivered. The network facsimile machine (1) then references a delivery recipient table (12) based on the data identifying the final recipient, and reads out the reception capabilities of the identified recipient. The network facsimile machine (1) then declares the reception capabilities of the identified recipient to the remote facsimile machine (2), and the subsequent facsimile transmission proceeds at transmission parameters within the capabilities of the recipient. When the fax data is received from the remote machine (2), it is delivered as-is, without conversion, to the identified recipient since the fax data is sent from the remote facsimile machine (2) in accordance with the recipient's capabilities.
Abstract:
An image processing system is provided that is capable of performing copying processes by connecting devices which specifications for processing image data are mutually different. In an image processing system comprised of an image reading device for optically reading original documents and converting these into electronic image data and a printing device for printing image data that have been received from the image reading device onto recording media, image processing circuits for processing image data in accordance with specified specifications are respectively incorporated into the scanning device and the printing device, and a device that may be set in accordance with specifications for processing image data based on given circuit arrangement information is used to comprise at least a part of either one of the image processing circuits of these devices. By setting the image processing circuit in accordance with specifications for processing image data on the basis of specification information of the image processing circuit of the opposing device, it is enabled to connect scanning devices and printing devices that are of mutually different specifications.
Abstract:
Embodiments include an apparatus, device, system, computer-program product, and method. In an embodiment, a device includes a user-accessible digital storage medium, and a storage medium manager module. The storage manager module includes a storage manager module operable to save a digital image in a form in the user-accessible digital storage medium, and then alter the form of the saved digital image if a condition is met.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an Internet facsimile machine including a processor for receiving an electronic mail including format information of an original image data and a standardized image data. The processor returns an electronic mail having machine receiving ability information and receives an electronic mail including high quality image data formed in accordance with the machine receiving ability information. The processor processes the standardized image data before returning the email having the machine receiving ability information. The Internet facsimile machine also includes a controller for setting functions of the processor.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to transmitting an image using a mobile terminal. The present invention comprises selecting at least one image having a predetermined resolution, checking a first size of the at least one image, determining whether the first size of the at least one image exceeds a transmittable size, adjusting the predetermined resolution of at least one of the at least one image if the first size exceeds the transmittable size, wherein the predetermined resolution is adjusted so that a second size of the at least one image does not exceed the transmittable size, and transmitting that at least one image having the second size.
