    摘要: A cylinder head for a compressor includes a closure device that can be adjusted between an unactuated position (off-load) in which the compressor delivers air and an actuated position (off-load) in which the compressor is running in an idle mode, a pneumatic control device having a control cylinder and a control piston that can be moved in the control cylinder, a spring device that prestresses the closure device into the unactuated position (on-load), and a driver configured to couple the control piston to the closure device. The closure device closes a compressed air passage in the unactuated position (on-load) and clears the compressed air passage in the actuated position (off-load), and the driver is permanently connected to the closure device and can be driven by the control piston.

    摘要: An osmotic patch pump may include a dry agent on a die-cut piece of film that may exert an osmotic pressure when dissolved by a fluid. A chamber may contain the dry agent and have a chamber wall made of a semi-permeable membrane that allows fluid to enter the chamber through the membrane, but does not allow dissolved agent to escape from the chamber through the membrane. A sponge may have a surface in contact with an outer surface of the semi-permeable membrane and may be configured to soak up fluid when placed in contact with the sponge. Flow volume and rate may be controlled by user-operated micro valves. The chamber and fluid communication channels may be embossed on a substrate as part of a simple and low cost manufacturing process.

    摘要: A technique is provided for pumping fluid in subsea applications. A self-contained pumping module is created by mounting a pumping unit on a skid that can be lowered to a sea floor. The skid comprises a support structure designed to hold the pumping unit in a desired orientation, such as an inclined orientation with respect to a base of the skid. The self-contained nature of the pumping module facilitates deployment to a sea floor/retrieval from the sea floor to enable use of the pumping module in a variety of subsea applications with reduced complexity and cost.

The overhung axial compressor includes a casing configured to be vertically split along a vertical axis for access to an inside of the casing and a removable cartridge. The removable cartridge is configured to fit inside the casing and to be detachably attached to the casing. The removable cartridge includes a shaft disposed along a horizontal axis, the shaft being configured to rotate about the horizontal axis, a bearing system attached to the removable cartridge and configured to rotationally support a first end of the shaft, and plural blades disposed toward a second end of the shaft such that the second end is overhung inside the casing. The compressor also includes a guide vane mechanism configured to connect to the removable cartridge, the guide vane mechanism being configured to adjust a flow of a fluid to the plural blades.

    摘要: A viscous fluid pump is provided. The pump has a housing that has an inlet for receiving viscous fluid and an outlet for dispensing viscous fluid. A bushing within the housing has an opening proximate the inlet and which provides access into an inner chamber of the bushing. The opening extends beyond the inlet in a direction orthogonal to the longitudinal dimension of the pump. A piston is movable within the inner chamber, with the piston having a first position in which the inlet is in fluid communication with the inner chamber through the opening and a second position in which the inlet is not in fluid communication with the inner chamber. The housing may define an interior, with the interior of the housing being free of soft seals.
