Abstract:
A method for providing a dialing screen which visually changes depending on status information providable through a mobile terminal. Particularly, the dialing screen (such as an alphanumeric character inputting screen) displays status information including network status information, time-zone information of a transmitting side or receiving side, etc., which can be provided through the mobile terminal, with graphic elements thereof embossed. Therefore, it is possible to output a dialing screen in which specific status information is reflected, so that the various tastes of the users can be reflected in the dialing screen and simultaneously visibility of the transmitted information increases. The method may include the steps of determining a received signal strength and a current time zone of the mobile communication terminal and displaying an animation data on a background image wherein the animation data changes based on the strength of the received signal.
Abstract:
An apparatus, and related method, for recording data that includes a controller to generate control information required to record a main data. The control information including at least one information unit for a specific writing speed and recording layer. The information unit includes write strategy parameters for first write strategy type to be used for the writing speed and recording layer, the first write strategy type being one of an (n−1) write strategy type and an n/2 write strategy type, where n is a length of mark and each type represents a number of write pulse to form a corresponding mark. A writing/reading unit records the control information at a specific area of a recording medium, wherein the controller controls the writing/reading unit to record the control information and to record the main data on the recording layer using write strategy parameters for the first write strategy type included in the information unit, at the specific writing speed.
Abstract:
A mobile terminal and idle screen display method for the same are provided. The mobile terminal includes a memory unit for storing an idle screen image, a display unit for displaying the idle screen image, an input means for generating a selection signal to select a zone of the idle screen image, and a control unit for controlling transmission of the idle screen image from the memory unit to the display unit, for zooming-in, and for displaying a selected zone of the idle screen image.
Abstract:
A method of recording writing speed information and per writing speed write strategy information within disc control information is provided. The standardized disc control information can be uniformly applied to efficiently cope with the record/playback of the optical disc. In configuring disc control information within a management area of an optical disc including at least one recording layer, the method includes steps of providing the at least one disc control information within the management area, the disc control information provided per applicable writing speed to each of the at least one recording layer; and recording applicable recording speed information within the disc control information.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to a non-contact, non-destructive measuring apparatus that measures thickness profile and refractive index distribution of a single or multiple layers of thin films by means of the principle of reflectometry. According to the present invention, by employing more than one narrow band-pass optical filters and a two-dimensional array of CCD sensors, and by finding an optimal solution for the nonlinear functional relationship between the thickness of said thin film or thin films and the corresponding refractive indexes by using an iterative numerical computation method, said apparatus simultaneously measures local area-wise thickness profile and refractive index distribution among others of said a single layer or multiple layers of thin films on a substrate.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a multi-layer ceramic capacitor printed simultaneously with internal electrode and external electrode by employing an inkjet printing. A method for manufacturing the multi-layer ceramic capacitor comprising first external electrode, dielectric, internal electrode and second external electrode prints simultaneously the first external electrode; the internal electrode which is connected with the first external electrode and formed at an invaginated portion of the dielectric invaginated to allow one side to be opened at one portion; and the second external electrode which is formed integrally with the internal electrode by employing an inkjet printing. According to the present invention, a method for manufacturing the multi-layer ceramic capacitor resolves contact problems by printing integrally the internal electrode and the external electrode and reduces the manufacturing process.
Abstract:
A recording medium, such as a high-density and/or read-only recording medium, such as BD-ROM, capable of preventing unauthorized duplication of data streams, written thereon, onto another medium, such as a BD-RE or BD-R, which includes physical mark information, and to methods and apparatuses for forming, recording, reproducing, and restricting playback of the recording medium to prevent unauthorized duplication.
Abstract:
In a recordable optical disc including at least one recording layer, write strategy information is recorded within disc control information, so that standardized disc control information can be uniformly applied to data recording and reproduction. At least one disc information is recorded as the disc control information within the management area. The disc control informations are recorded for at least one write strategy for a same writing speed and recording layer.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a high-density optical disk having thin film layer made from a thermochromic polymer with a red-shift which exhibits self-focusing and optical bleaching. After an incident light beam passes through the polymer medium, not only can the spot size of the beam be reduced but also transmittance can be enhanced due to these kinds of third-order nonlinear optical response. Thus, a high-density disk structured according to the present invention is capable of the signal reproduction resolution beyond the diffraction limit with an efficient reflectivity. Accordingly, data recording density of a high-density disk can be improved greatly.
