Abstract: A toilet system has a connector that defines a cylindrical aperture, with a threaded interior surface, around a central axis and that is configured for fixation to a support structure. A cylindrical waste pipe is elongated along the central axis and has a plurality of spaced ribs extending from an exterior surface. A ring-shaped gasket is positioned around the central axis and has a plurality of interior voids, each void corresponding to, and configured to, receive one of the spaced ribs. Further, the ring-shaped gasket has a threaded exterior surface, that slopes toward the central axis, and which is configured for engagement with the threaded interior surface of the connector.

Abstract: A sanitizing filter for sanitizing a residential water filtering system has a water filter assembly including a cartridge operable for removable attachment to the water filter assembly. When the cartridge is attached to the water filter assembly, a water flow passes into the cartridge, mixes with sanitizing media within the cartridge, and passes back into the water filter assembly. The residential water filtering system is then filled and flushed repeatedly and the mixture of water and sanitizing media sanitizes the portions of the system that are downstream from the sanitizing filter.

Abstract: A closet carrier assembly for a wall-mounted toilet comprising a face plate having a front face and a back face. Spacing rods, extending from the front face, have a threaded distal end with a nut to act as a stop. A retainer plate mounts on the plurality of spacing rods against the stop and defines an opening with opposing earhole extensions. A waste pipe has a front end and a cuttable back end. The front end has opposing tabs sized and configured to pass through the earhole extensions. The front end also has ridges so that when the tabs are passed through the earhole extensions and the waste pipe is rotated, the waste pipe is fixed in place by the retainer plate being captured between the tabs and the ridges.

Abstract: A system monitors gas flow and pressure to a gas appliance in a fluid network comprising an analyzer. The analyzer has a housing defining an inlet, an outlet, and an interior in fluid communication with the inlet and the outlet. At least one sensor is coupled to the analyzer and configured to generate at least one signal related to gas being supplied to the gas appliance. A smart device communicates with the analyzer, wherein the smart device has a user interface and is configured to monitor, store and display data. The smart device can present any or all of a plurality of parameters such as the flow of gas, a capacity of the flow of gas, a temperature, a pressure of the gas and the like to a user based on signals from sensors.

Abstract: A heating system includes a heat source. A controller is connected to the heat source and controls operation of the heat source. A first sensor is configured to sense temperature and report a signal to the controller. An input/output (I/O) device is configured to send a set point to the controller. The controller selectively operates the heat source based on a comparison of the signal and the set point. The heat source communicates wirelessly with at least one of the controller, the first sensor, and the I/O device.

Abstract: A pressure regulator assembly has a normal mode and a regulated fast-fill mode and includes a spring cage and a body coupled together. The spring cage and body define an inlet in fluid communication with an outlet as well as an interior between the inlet and the outlet. A diaphragm assembly mounts in the interior for selectively closing a flowpath between the inlet and the outlet. A preload spring in the interior applies force on the diaphragm assembly so that in the normal mode, the flowpath is closed if a downstream pressure is above a first pressure. An actuation assembly includes a lever coupled to the spring cage and a push rod mounted so that in the regulated fast-fill mode, the lever slides so that the push rod further compresses the preload spring to open the flowpath and regulate flow therethrough if the downstream pressure is below a second pressure.

Abstract: A purifying system for treating a fluid with UV light including a housing defining: a chamber having a treatment zone; an inlet; and an outlet. The light source supplies UV light to the treatment zone. The inlet, the tubular housing, or the outlet may extend inward into the chamber so that the fluid passes close to the light source and has a relatively increased duration in the treatment zone. The purifying system may also have a sensor coupled to the housing or light source for generating a first signal indicative of a first parameter of the treatment zone. A microcontroller can control the light source based on a signal from the sensor and data characterizing the light source. The microcontroller may also vary operation of the light source and collect data to create the data characterizing the light source.
