Abstract: A user equipment (UE) comprising a processor configured to perform the operations that determines an uplink (UL) slot is described. In exemplary embodiments, the UE receives, from a base station, a scaling factor through a first Radio Resource Control (RRC) signal. The UE may further determines an offset through a second RRC signal. In addition, the UE may receive from the base station, downlink control information (DCI) that includes an indication of an initial time gap. Furthermore, the UE may calculate a new time gap by at least applying the scaling factor to the initial time gap and determine a slot of uplink transmission based on at least the new time gap and the offset.

Abstract: A method for wireless communication includes: receiving, at a base station: (1) a capability report for each of a plurality of antenna panels of a first user device; and (2) an initial antenna panel index for the first user device; transmitting, to the first user device, configuration information corresponding to each antenna panel of the plurality; selecting first configuration information corresponding to the antenna panel with the initial antenna panel index; and receiving a first uplink transmission from the first user device, wherein the first user device uses a selected first antenna panel corresponding to the initial antenna panel index and the first configuration information corresponding to the selected first antenna panel. In other aspects, rather than initially transmitting configuration information corresponding to each antenna panel, the base station may transmit the configuration information for each panel as it is selected by the first user device for an uplink transmission.

Abstract: In an example method, a user equipment (UE) device receives a plurality of Synchronization Signal Block (SSB) beams transmitted by base stations (BSes) during discovery burst transmission windows (DBTWs). For each of the SSB beams, the UE device determines an index value of the SSB beam (lSSB) within a respective one of the DBTWs, and determines a value Z=lSSB mod NSSDQCL, where NSSBQCL represents a maximum allowable number of SSB beams transmitted by each of the BSes during a single DBTW. The UE device determines whether two or more of the SSB beams are quasi co-located based on the values Z for the SSB beams, and processes wireless signals received from the BSes based on the determination.

An embodiment provides an apparatus for a Next Generation NodeB (gNB), including circuitry, which is configured to: generate Downlink Control Information (DCI) payload for a NR-Physical Downlink Control Channel (NR-PDCCH); attach Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC) to the DCI payload; mask the CRC with an Radio Network Temporary Identifier (RNTI) using a bitwise modulus 2 addition operation, wherein the number of bits for the RNTI is different from the number of bits for the CRC; and perform polar encoding for the DCI payload with the masked CRC.

Abstract: Systems and methods using control signaling for uplink frequency selective precoding at a user equipment (UE) are disclosed herein. A base station may indicate a transmission rank indicator (TRI), a wideband transmission precoder matrix indicator (TPMI), and one or more subband TPMI(s) to the UE. The base station may indicate, to the UE, whether to use the wideband TPMI or a subband TPMI to precode a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission from the UE to the base station. The UE then precodes (and transmits) the PUSCH accordingly. Methods of UE application of the indicated subband TPMI(s) to subbands of the bandwidth in which a PUSCH may be transmitted are described. Methods accounting for a UE capability as to non-coherent, partial-coherent, and/or coherent precoding are described. Methods of assigning TPMI(s) to subbands in view of multiple transmission reception point (TRP) use by the UE for UE transmission are described.

Abstract: Various techniques are presented to improve phase tracking reference signal (PTRS) performance with respect to very high frequency communications. According to some embodiments, increased power boosting may be applied to improve PTRS performance, while still keeping power spectral density (PSD) within ETSI Broadband Radio Access Networks (BRAN) limits. In some cases, the power boosting may be semi-static and/or dynamic. In other embodiments, the improved performance may be achieved by dynamically changing time and/or frequency density of the PTRS. In other embodiments, a multi-port configuration may be used for the downlink PTRS. In other embodiments, one or more PTRS configurations may be determined per SCS and/or frequency band, e.g., based on traffic type, channel priority, parameters signaled in the slot format indication (SFI), etc. In other embodiments, common phase error (CPE) estimates may be obtained for those OFDM symbols without PTRS by interpolating the available PTRS estimates in the time domain.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses for cross division duplex (XDD) operation in a wireless communication system are described herein. A user equipment (UE) is configured with one or more sub-bands (SBs) within a larger overall bandwidth (BW) (e.g., represented by a component carrier (CC), a bandwidth part (BWP), etc.), and that use uplink (UL)/downlink (DL) resource allocation(s) that may be different than the larger BW. Configurations for such SB-specific (SBS) arrangements that use guard bands (GBs) between SBs are discussed. Mechanisms for slot format indications (SFIs) within such SBs using either SBS DCI or cross-SB DCI are discussed. Mechanisms for providing SBS uplink resource for initial access (e.g., random access) using at least one initial UL BWP that is configured relative to one or more SBs and that may be used by XDD-capable UEs are discussed.

Abstract: A sidelink transmission and an uplink transmission that is carrying a sidelink hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) are both scheduled for transmission in a shared time window. If a priority associated with the sidelink HARQ is considered to be higher than a priority associated with the sidelink transmission, then a higher priority is assigned to the uplink transmission, regardless of whether the uplink transmission contains other uplink data. Otherwise, if the uplink transmission does not carry other uplink data, then the higher priority is assigned to the sidelink transmission. Greater transmission resources are given to the transmission with the higher priority.
