    摘要: An image display device includes pixel circuits, a power supply line, and a data line for supplying a data signal to the pixel circuits. The pixel circuits each include a light emitting element, a drive transistor for controlling light emission of the light emitting element, a storage capacitor provided between the data line and a gate electrode of the drive transistor, a both-end connection switch for connecting both ends of the storage capacitor to each other, and a current interruption switch for interrupting a path of a current flowing from the power supply line through the both-end connection switch. Before the data signal is supplied to each of the pixel circuits, the both-end connection switch connects the both ends of the storage capacitor to each other, and the current interruption switch is disconnected.

    摘要: A display device includes an insulation substrate on which TFT elements, first electrodes, light emitting layers and a second electrode are stacked in this order. Auxiliary lines are arranged between the insulation substrate and the second electrodes, and an insulation layer is interposed between the auxiliary lines and the second electrode. The auxiliary lines and the second electrode are connected with each other via contact holes formed in the insulation layer. Due to such a constitution, it is possible to enhance image quality of an organic EL display device.

    摘要: There is provided a method for fabricating an image display device having an active matrix substrate including high-performance transistor circuits operating with high mobility as drive circuits for driving pixel portions which are arranged as a matrix. The portion of a polysilicon film formed in a drive circuit region DAR1 provided on the periphery of the pixel region PAR of the active matrix substrate SUB1 composing the image display device is irradiated and scanned with a pulse modulated laser beam or a pseudo CW laser beam to be reformed into a quasi-strip-like-crystal silicon film having a crystal boundary continuous in the scanning direction so that discrete reformed regions each composed of the quasi-strip-like-crystal silicon film are formed. In virtual tiles TL composed of the discrete reformed regions, drive circuits having active elements such as thin-film transistors or the like are formed such that the channel directions thereof coincide with the direction of crystal growth in the quasi-strip-like-crystal silicon film.

An on/off control switch 15 for stopping the driving operation of a light emitting element 13 is provided in a pixel 1. A change in the luminous brightness caused by a variation in the characteristic of the light emitting element 13 is suppressed by feeding a result measured by a current measuring circuit provided in one end of a power line 4 back to a drive signal for the light emitting element 13.

    摘要: An image display apparatus includes pixels each having a light emitting element and a pixel circuit, analog signal lines and current-supply lines. The pixel circuit includes first and second TFTs and first and second capacitors. Drain and source electrodes of the first TFT are coupled to the light emitting element and one of the current-supply lines, respectively, and drain and source electrodes of the second TFT are coupled to a gate electrode of the first TET and one of wiring lines within the pixel circuit, respectively. Two electrodes of the first capacitor are coupled to the gate electrode of the first TFT and one of the wiring lines within the pixel circuit, respectively. Two electrodes of the second capacitor are coupled to a gate electrode of the second TFT and a line supplied with a triangular waveform voltage, respectively.
