    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a user equipment (UE) may receive a transmission from multiple transmission and reception points (TRPs) according to a communication scheme, such as a multi-TRP or single frequency network (SFN) communication scheme, in which the multiple TRPs may transmit associated reference signals based on applying different transmission configuration indicator (TCI) states. The UE may receive a control message indicating the communication scheme and, in some examples, one or more parameters that the UE is to include in a corresponding channel state information (CSI) reference signal (CSI-RS) report. The UE, based on receiving the control message, may monitor for the reference signals from the multiple TRPs and generate the CSI-RS report based on receiving the reference signals and based on the indicated communication scheme. Accordingly, the UE may transmit the generated CSI-RS report.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for transmitting a channel state information (CSI) report from a user equipment (UE). The CSI report may be a UE initiated CSI report or may be based on a downlink grant. The UE may determine to transmit the CSI report based on measurement using a physical downlink control channel (PDSCH) and/or a demodulation reference signal (DMRS). The UE may determine a reference resource for CSI feedback. The UE may calculate a channel quality indicator (CQI) based on the reference resource. The UE may transmit the CQI in the CSI report on an uplink resource.

    Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to user equipment (UE) -assisted beam broadening in a wireless communication system configured to employ beamforming. A UE may determine downlink channel characteristics by monitoring for, receiving, and measuring a suitable downlink reference signal. Based on the channel characteristics the UE may select a wide beam corresponding to a set of narrow beams. The UE may then transmit a report identifying the selected wide beam by indicating a direction of the selected wide beam and an angular width of the selected wide beam.     Abstract: Port selection codebook enhancements are disclosed for spatial and frequency domain density (FDD) reciprocity. A base station may generate and signal a channel state information (CSI) report configuration including configuration of multiple CSI-reference signal (CSI-RS) port groups, wherein each group includes one or more CSI-RS ports, and each group is associated with one or more codebook subset restrictions (CBSRs). Using the configured restrictions of the CBSRs, served user equipments (UEs) may determine linear combination coefficient feedback based on channel measurements of selected port groups and signals the feedback to the base station. Once the base station receives the feedback it may then determine a hybrid CSI-RS codebook using both the configured CSI-RS port groups and the linear combination coefficients. The base station may then transmit downlink data encoded with a precoding matrix selected from the codebook. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that support non-periodic channel state information (CSI) triggering and reporting in wireless communications. In cases where two or more CSI report requests trigger multiple CSI report transmissions in an same uplink slot, a user equipment (UE) may format at least a subset of the multiple CSI reports according to a formatting configuration for transmission of multiple CSI reports in a same uplink slot. The UE may use allocated resources in the uplink slot for each CSI report that are allocated by the base station in the corresponding CSI report request. In some cases, the UE may combine the multiple CSI reports, or parts thereof, into a combined CSI report that may be transmitted using allocated resources of one of the CSI report requests.
