Abstract:
A connector includes a main body, an electrical interface extending from a front end of the main body, and a fixing member pivotably mounted to the main body with a first end. A second end of the fixing member forms a dummy interface similar to the electrical interface.
Abstract:
A mounting apparatus is used for detachably mounting a fan in a chassis. The chassis includes a sidewall defining a locking slot. The mounting apparatus includes a bracket fixing the fan, and a locking member sandwiched between the fan and the bracket. The bracket defines a through slot. The locking member includes a locking portion extending through the through slot of the bracket to engage in the locking slot of the chassis.
Abstract:
A connector assembly includes first to fifth connectors, two PCIe slots, and an adapter board. When the first connector is connected to the fifth connector, and the third connector is connected to the fourth connector, signals at the pins of the third connector are transmitted to the second group of pins of the first PCIe slot through the fourth connector, the fifth connector, and the first connector in series. When the second connector is connected to the fifth connector, and the third connector is connected to the fourth connector, signals at pins of the third connector are transmitted to the fourth group of pins of the second PCIe slot through the fourth connector, the fifth connector, and the second connector in series.
Abstract:
A dummy hard disk drive (HDD) is arranged in an electronic device. The dummy HDD includes a first plate, a second plate, a third plate, and a fourth plate. The first plate, the second plate, the third plate, and the fourth plate are head-to-tail connected to form a quadrangle-shaped frame. The frame is foldable by rotating the first to fourth plates.
Abstract:
A hard disk device includes a main portion and two pads. The main portion includes a front end, a rear end, a first side surface, a second side surface and a bottom surface. The first side surface defines a first connecting hole near the front end. The second side surface defines a second connecting hole near the front end. The bottom surface defines a first bottom connecting hole corresponding to the first connecting hole and a second bottom connecting hole corresponding to the second connecting hole. Each pad includes two connecting poles. A distal end of each connecting pole is toward the other connecting pole. The connecting poles of one of the pads are respectively insert into the first connecting hole and the first bottom connecting hole, and the connecting poles of the other pad are respectively insert into the second connecting hole and the second bottom connecting hole.
Abstract:
An enclosure includes a bottom plate, a circuit board, and a cable clip. A number of mounting posts extend from the bottom plate. Each mounting post axially defines a mounting hole. The cable clip includes a main body, a mounting portion extending from a first end of the main body, and a clipping portion extending from a second end of the main body to bind cables. The cable clip defines a first through hole, for a corresponding one mounting post extending through. The circuit board defines a number of second through holes. The circuit board is supported on the mounting posts, with the second through holes aligning with the mounting holes. Fasteners extend through the second through holes to engage in the mounting holes to mount the circuit board to the bottom plate. The mounting portion is clamped between the circuit board and the bottom plate.
Abstract:
An electronic device includes a personal system 2 (PS/2) port, a route selection unit, and a signal identification unit. The PS/2 port may be electronically connected to a storage device through a universal serial bus (USB) interface. The signal identification unit identifies the storage device and then sends a control command to the route selection unit. The route selection unit distributes a USB data transmission route to the storage device according to the control command, so that the electronic device can exchange data with the storage device.
Abstract:
A portable electronic device includes an audio port, a universal serial bus (USB) circuit, an audio circuit, a detecting unit, a switch, and a microcontroller. The detecting unit is connected to the audio port. The detecting unit generates a detecting signal in response to detection of either the earphone/microphone or the USB apparatus being connected to the audio port. The microcontroller is connected to the detecting unit and the switch. The microcontroller selects the audio circuit or the USB circuit to the audio port by the switch according to the detecting signal.
Abstract:
A connector retaining device for retaining interconnection between two connectors a support board and two flexible fastening strips. The support board includes two through holes. The flexible fastening strips respectively extend through the through holes. Each fastening strip includes a loop at one end thereof, the other end of the fastening strip is passable through the loop. The fastening strips are configured for embracingly gripping the cables at opposite sides of the combined connectors and sandwiching the combined connectors therebetween.
Abstract:
A notebook computer includes a main body, a battery, and a power adaptor. The main body defines a mounting slot and includes a connector exposed in the mounting slot. Either the battery or the power adaptor may be mounted in the mounting slot. The battery defines a socket for electrical engagement with the connector of the main body. The power adaptor also defines a socket to engage with the connector, and a power source interface connected to an alternating power source.
