Abstract:
A device for stretching an elastically expandable body, wherein the device includes a stiff tube over which at least part of the elastically expandable body is arranged to be applied when being stretched. The device includes at least one sliding element designed to be located in at least that end of the body where the application of the tube starts, to facilitate the application of the body onto the tube.
Abstract:
A load compensation method for phase-to-ground loops in distance protection. A first reactive reach is estimated assuming zero fault resistance or with a positive sequence current. A second reactive reach is estimated with a zero sequence current. A third reactive reach is estimated with a negative sequence current. An import or export condition is estimated. A fourth reactive reach for import or export condition is estimated based on the first, second and third reactive reach. A fault impedance is estimated based on the estimated fourth reactive reach.
Abstract:
An induction device for association with high voltage electric transmission systems having at least one core frame and at least one winding arranged around said core frame. The induction device has at least one magnetic core leg arranged in said core frame. The core frame includes a stack of core segments of a magnetic material being cooled by cooling medium, arranged in compression in the core frame, core gaps being arranged to separate the core segments, and a plurality of spacers, arranged in the core gaps between the core segments, with a cross section of hexagonal shape, having an upper and a lower end-face being in contact with the core segments. The spacers in at least one of the core gaps are arranged densely packed so as to form a compact filling in the core gap.
Abstract:
A converter for converting alternating voltage into direct voltage and vice versa in a converter station of a high voltage transmission system including a series connection of a plurality of converter valves. The converter has connections to transformers on both of two opposite sides of the converter valves.
Abstract:
A converter station for connecting an AC system to a bipolar HVDC transmission line. A DC neutral arrangement includes first DC breakers enabling breaking of a first current path from the neutral bus of one pole to the neutral bus of the other pole at bipolar operation of the station for changing to monopolar operation thereof for isolation of a faulty section of the system while establishing a current path to electrode line connecting members for diverting the current from the one pole thereto. A separate connecting member is provided for each of the electrode lines. A connector is configured to connect each neutral bus to an optional of the two electrode line connecting members.
Abstract:
A power transformer/reactor immersed in oil including a transformer/reactor core and windings accommodated in a tank including a tank base plate and tank walls. A foundation supports the tank. An elongated continuous band forming a closed frame is arranged between the base plate and the foundation. An outer periphery of the base plate extends outside an inner periphery of the frame and thereby encloses an air volume within the frame, the base plate and foundation. The tank support reduces sound emitted from the transformer/reactor.
Abstract:
A method for administering passivator to a conductor in a power transformer, comprising providing a reservoir of the passivator, wherein the reservoir is provided by adding the passivator to solid insulation prior to impregnating the solid insulation with oil, and wherein the passivator is added to the solid insulation as the solid insulation is applied to a conductor.
Abstract:
A tap changer and a method for measuring a contact sequence of a tap changer is provided. The tap changer includes a cylinder and a shaft that is rotatably arranged inside the cylinder, the cylinder is provided with fixed contacts, the shaft is provided with a contact circuit facing the cylinder and including mechanical contacts, which mechanical contacts are adapted to selectively mate with the fixed contacts of the cylinder upon rotation of the shaft, the contact circuit also includes at least two measuring points for measuring the function of the contact circuit. The tap changer includes at least one measuring contact device, which is electrically connected to the respective measuring points in the contact circuit, and which the measuring contact device is arranged inside the shaft. This facilitates access to the measuring points of the tap changer.
Abstract:
A method for manufacturing a post insulator. A core is introduced into a tube of an insulating stiff material while leaving a small circumferential space separating the core and inner walls of the tube. Adhesive is introduced under an overpressure into an interior of the tube and is cured while maintaining an overpressure in the interior of the tube.
Abstract:
An elongated member including an outer sleeve-like rigid insulator shell surrounding a high voltage conductor extending in the longitudinal direction of the shell and a gap inside the shell next to an internal wall of the shell at least partially surrounding the conductor and filled with a medium including a material of with electrically insulating properties. The medium is formed by an electrically insulating material including hollow spaces at least partially filled with gas. The material is adapted to expand upon a temperature rise thereof by reversibly compressing the hollow spaces and reducing the volume thereof.
