Abstract: In an example, a method includes receiving, by an election office system from a voter device, a request for a voting ballot for an election, part or all of voter ID information associated with a first mobile identification credential which the voter device received from a first authorizing party system (APS), and consented data indication which indicates the part or all of voter ID information that is authorized by the voter device for release by the first APS to the election office system, the part or all of voter ID information to be verified to the election office system by the first APS; and using the verified part or all of voter ID information to verify or not verify an identity of the voter. The identity of the voter is to be verified before the election office system grants the request to provide the voting ballot to the voter.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described, and an example system creates a transaction between a biometric station and a user in a group of users. Transaction includes establishing for the user, a ground-truth identity, capturing an image of the user in the biometric station, making a first determination of whether the image is sufficient for identification of the user. When the image is sufficient, the transaction derives biometric information from the image, converts the biometric information into a generic-form biometric information, agnostic of how the biometric information was obtained, and generated hashed user data by applying a hash function to the generic-form biometric information. The transaction makes a second determination, based on the hashed user data, of whether the user is represented in a gallery of sample images. The transactions are repeated for other users in the group. In the repeats, when the image is determined sufficient, another second determination is made, generating a plurality of second determinations. An acquisition quotient is calculated for the plurality of second determinations, based on one of efficiency, effectiveness, and accuracy relative to time.

Abstract: An improvement to the function of computer systems, including those that verify the identity of subjects arriving at checkpoints, is realized by (a) relying on a central resource, instead of checkpoints, to perform biometric comparisons, (b) using lists of expected subjects at the checkpoints, (c) providing rolling updates to the list of expected subjects as warranted by changes, and (d) locking the records of subjects once their identity is verified. The improvement resides in specialized logic that is specifically tailored to the checkpoint environment and, as such, leads to reduced computing resource consumption for the processing system, the memory, the network, and the components that interface with the network.

Abstract: In one example, an on-wing apparatus for in-situ cutting on a wing-to-fuselage attachment includes a first linear bearing disposed on a first mount plate to move in a first direction. A tool mounting member is attached to the second linear bearing. A cutter is attached to the tool mounting member to be adjustable, relative to the second linear bearing, in a rotational direction around an adjustment axis. One of the first direction and the second direction is a depth direction of the cut parallel to the adjustment axis, and the other is a length direction of the cut. A width position of the cut is determined by rotational adjustment of the cutter with respect to the second linear bearing in the rotational direction.

Abstract: An X-ray imaging system for reconstructing X-ray spectra includes an integrating detector and a measurement mask, including at least one physical filter, positioned between the integrating detector and an X-ray source spectrum. The integrating detector receives a masked X-ray spectrum after the source spectrum has been filtered in accordance with the measurement mask. As a result of the measurement mask containing one or more physical filters being combined, a measurement mask having energy band-pass regions can be generated, to cover the source spectrum. Measured data, based on the masked X-ray spectrum and characteristics of the measurement mask, is collected from the integrating detector. The X-ray imaging system reconstructs an X-ray spectrum and generates the reconstructed X-ray spectrum based on applying a predetermined algorithm, such as total variation minimization reconstruction, to the measured data.
