Abstract:
A method of processing a multicast frame in a wireless local area network system. The method includes transmitting a request message for requesting a Directed Multicast Service (DMS) in which at least one multicast frame is transmitted as at least one unicast frame by an Access Point (AP), receiving a response message from the AP in response to the request message, and receiving the at least one multicast frame from the AP, the at least one multicast frame being transmitted as the at least one unicast frame. The request message includes a DMS descriptor list field comprising a Transmission Class (TCLAS) element field and a Transmission Specification (TSPEC) element field. The TCLAS element field includes a requested multicast group address for the DMS. The TSPEC element field defines Quality of Service (QoS) expectations information for the DMS.
Abstract:
A method for retransmitting a multicast frame in a wireless network and for determining whether a received multicast frame is a duplicated frame. In determining whether the received multicast frame is the same duplicated frame as a previously received multicast frame, a receiver address value and a sequence number of the multicast frame may be used. When fragmentation of a multicast frame is allowed, the value of a fragment number of the multicast frame may be also used, and if it includes a traffic ID, the value of the traffic ID can be also used for determining whether or not the multicast frame is a duplicated frame. If a multicast frame is transmitted in a wireless mesh network, it is determined whether or not the multicast frame is a duplicated one by using a mesh source address, a mesh destination address, and a sequence number.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to a wireless communication system. More specifically, disclosed are an operation method and apparatus using a sectorized transmission opportunity in a wireless LAN system. The method by which a station (STA) performs a transmission opportunity-based (TXOP-based) sectorization operation in a wireless LAN system, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises the steps of: determining whether an ongoing frame exchange is transmitted within a basic service set (BSS) of the STA or within an overlapping BSS (OBSS); determining whether spatially orthogonal (SO) conditions are met; and resetting a virtual carrier sensing (VCS) value of the STA, if the ongoing frame exchange is transmitted within the OBSS and the SO conditions are met.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a wireless communications system, and more particularly to a method for sensing a channel dynamically in a wireless LAN system and an apparatus therefor. A method for performing CCA (Clear Channel Assessment) by a station (STA) in a wireless LAN system according to an embodiment of the present invention includes the steps of: receiving by a physical layer (PHY) of the STA a request primitive including a parameter indicating a CCA level type from an upper layer, and determining whether a signal equal to or greater than a prescribed CCA threshold is sensed based on the value of the parameter. Here, the parameter may be set so as to indicate one of a plurality of different CCA level types.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a wireless communication system, and more particularly to a method for enabling a station (STA) to perform a backoff in a wireless LAN system and an apparatus therefor. In a wireless LAN system according to an embodiment of the present invention, a method for enabling a station (STA) to perform a backoff includes the steps of: performing a first backoff procedure at a first primary channel for a transmission of a data unit having a size of a first channel width; performing a second backoff procedure at a second primary channel for a transmission of a data unit having a size equal to or greater than a second channel width; if a transmission opportunity (TXOP) is permitted as a result of the first backoff procedure, transmitting the data unit having a size of the first channel width; and if a TXOP is permitted as a result of the second backoff procedure, transmitting the data unit having a size equal to or greater than the second channel width.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a wireless communication system. More particularly, a method and a device for restricted access window-based channel access in a WLAN system are disclosed. The method whereby a station (STA) performs channel access in a wireless communication system according to one embodiment of the present invention may comprise the steps of: receiving restricted access window (RAW) cross-border transmission allowance (CBTA) information from an access point (AP) in case an RAW is allocated to the STA; and performing transmission by the STA on the basis of the RAW CBTA information. In case the RAW CBTA information is configured as a first value, transmission by the STA beyond the border of the RAW may be allowed.
