Methods and systems for optimizing computation of log-likelihood ratio (LLR) for decoding modulated symbols. A method disclosed herein involves receiving at least one symbol transmitted from at least one device, wherein the received at least one symbol is encoded and modulated symbol including a plurality of data bits. The method further includes computing a log-likelihood ratio (LLR) of each bit in the received at least one symbol for decoding the received at least one symbol using a centroid method that involves exploiting a symmetry of a constellation of code words and/or a uncertainty region defined on a constellation of code words.

If the network signals large data transfer requirement, then the transmitting node selects a Subheader format in which the length field of the data format suits the large data transfer requirement. Further, data communication is initiated using the selected Subheader format.

Abstract: A method and system for acquiring mmWave carrier in a wireless communication network is disclosed. In one embodiment, an MS acquires a low frequency carrier and then acquires the high frequency carrier. Since the low frequency carrier and the high frequency carrier are transmitted by same BS, the BS provides assistance information on the acquired low frequency carrier to the MS to acquire a synchronization signal which is transmitted on a high frequency carrier using beamforming. The assistance information includes synchronization signal beam time slots, synchronization signal beams which the MS needs to search, beam ID and so on. Based on the assistance information, the MS monitors the high frequency carrier to search and acquire the synchronization beam signal transmitted on the high frequency carrier. The MS determines the beam ID of the received synchronization beam signal and reports to the BS on the low frequency carrier.

Abstract: An example security processing method includes receiving data packets at a packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) layer from an upper layer and parsing header information of each of the data packets to determine a length of each of the plurality of headers within the corresponding header information and whether a security header is present or absent in the corresponding data packets. The method further includes identifying corresponding header information of the data packets in which the security header is present based on the determination. The method further includes encrypting, based on the determined header lengths, only each of the plurality of headers of the identified corresponding header information in which the security header is present, and thereafter transmitting the one or more data packets to a lower layer after adding information regarding each of the encrypted headers along with their encryption length into a PDCP header.

Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure provide a method for scheduling shared physical resource blocks (PRBs) by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless network and minimizing/reducing contention on the shared PRBs. The method includes: receiving PRBs from a network device, where the PRBs are shared among multiple UEs in the wireless network; detecting data at the UE for transmission; determining a modulation and coding scheme (MCS), a number of PRBs, and a size of a transport block required for data transmission in response to detecting the data; self-scheduling the shared PRBs based on at least one of the determined MCS, the number of PRBs, and the size of the transport block; and sending the data based on the self-scheduling along with self-scheduling information to the network device.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method for radio-resource scheduling in a telecommunication network. The method comprises selecting at least one objective associated with a radio-resource scheduling from a plurality of objectives; prioritizing at least one flow from a plurality of flows for the selected at least one objective; identifying at least one state parameter from a plurality of state parameters associated with at least one of an active bearers from a plurality of active bearers; inputting at least one of the plurality of state parameters for the at least one of the active bearers to be scheduled during a current transmission time interval (TTI) to a reinforcement machine learning (ML) network, the reinforcement ML network being configured for a reward in accordance with the selected at least one objective; and receiving, from the reinforcement ML network, a radio resource allocation for each of the active bearers for the current TTI.
