Abstract: A method and system for providing a fallback solution in a multi-tenant communication system is provided. A cloud-based call processing service receives a voice call initiation request from a first mobile device located at a first communication system. The voice call initiation request includes a request to complete a voice call with a second mobile device located at a second communication system. Resources are allocated at the first communication system and the second communication system. The cloud-based call processing service establishes a call between the first mobile device and the second mobile device. At some point the first communication system determines that it should fallback to single site operation. In fallback mode, call processing functionality is performed at the first communication system for the first mobile device.

Abstract: Techniques for a digital assistant to receive intent input from a secondary user are provided. A digital assistant receives a query intent from a primary user, wherein the primary user is authorized to provide query intents. It is determined, based on the query intent, that intent input will be provided by a secondary user, wherein the secondary user is not authorized to provide query intents. Intent input provided by the secondary user is received. The digital assistant processes the query intent using the intent input. The results of the query intent are provided to the primary user.

Abstract: An incoming call from a source device having a source identifier is received at a receiving device and an indication of and request to accept the incoming call is provided at an output interface of the receiving device. A determination is made of whether this is a first time that the source device has called this receiving device or if the local address book is devoid of the source identifier or any associated contextual information associated with a user of the source device having the source identifier. If so, one or more databases of public safety incident information, call information, registration information, dispatch records, mobile application information, and location information is accessed and contextual information identified from the databases associating the source device with the receiving device. The contextual information is then provided at the receiving device while providing the indication of and request to accept the incoming call.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for bypassing a virtual partner is provided herein. During operation a device will have knowledge of a status of sensors connected to form a personal-area network (PAN) and/or have knowledge of a current incident type assigned to a user. The device will then bypass digital-assistant functionality based on the status of associated PAN devices and/or the incident type. Thus, virtual-partner functionality will be bypassed based on a fact that a public-safety event has occurred. As discussed, the public-safety event may comprise a current incident assigned to a user, or a status of at least one device/sensor connected to form a PAN.

The eartip may be removably attached to only a side of the earpiece that is configured to be proximate to the ear.

Abstract: A communication system (100) formed of a radio management system (104) interoperates with a radio management codeplug database (106) and a confusability analyzer (108) for the creation and storage of voice recognition target strings for uploading to one or more land mobile portable radios (110) prior to field-deployment. Once the radios are deployed to the field, unrecognized voice command entries are determined, stored locally at the portable radio, and uploaded to cloud based storage (122). Analysis of the cloud based data is performed through a voice control analytics engine (124) to detect patterns associated with the unrecognized voice commands. The unrecognized voice command pattern is processed though a resolution action engine (126) to generate one or more resolution actions for the pattern.
