    摘要: A method and apparatus for controlling the feed speed of a machine in a numerical control system having a manual pulse generator for generating pulses in response to a manual operation. The numerical control system numerically controls the machine by supplying the machine with the generated pulses as feed pulses in a manual feed mode and with feed pulses corresponding to a commanded feed speed in modes other than the manual feed mode. The commanded feed speed is modified in accordance with an override quantity stored in a register. The method includes selectively designating the modes other than the manual feed mode, changing the override quantity, which is stored in the register, based on the pulses generated by the manual pulse generator and in accordance with the designated mode, and modifying the commanded feed speed in accordance with the override quantity stored in the register.

    摘要: A solid state circuit for sequencing a valve mechanism from its normal operating position through a sequence of cycles to blow down various different lines of the network to which the valve mechanism is connected. The circuit may be set to initiate its sequence at one of a number of time periods such as once a day or once a week. Once initiated, the circuit operates a motor drive for the valve mechanism continuing for a timed interval followed by a delay or dwell at each blow down position. A signal is provided to indicate that the circuit is about to enter a blow down sequence followed by the sequence itself. Various alarms and safeguards are provided for the sequence.

    摘要: An automatic storage and retrieval system including a storage bin, having a mechanism for positioning a vehicle at the storage bin including a rough positioning mechanism with an encoder having a rotatable member which rotates through an arc less than a complete revolution in response to movement of the vehicle and generates a signal with a different value at each of various member positions which correspond to respective vehicle rough position zones. A control device receives the signal and selectively causes the vehicle to move to a rough position zone at the storage bin. A fine positioning mechanism repositions the vehicle within a particular position zone after rough positioning and utilizes a light source and photoelectric sensor mounted on the vehicle for detecting a target mounted in a fixed relation with respect to the storage bin. The control mechanism receives an electrical signal generated by the photoelectric sensor and causes the vehicle to stop at the fine position location at the storage bin. A high-low positioning device selectively lowers and raises a carriage including a retrieval apparatus such as a fork assembly within the bin. A method is provided to utilize the automatic storage and retrieval system including rough and fine positioning of a vehicle relative to a storage bin and high-low positioning within the bin.

In use, the disclosed Automatic Control Device virtually eliminates "hunting", and it can also accomodate and control extreme and sudden changes ("bumping") in either the process variable or the set point without damage to the Automatic Process Control Device or its operation.

A relatively movable member is driven by control signals derived from actual velocity feedback signals during coarse mode operation. At the beginning of fine mode operation the actual velocity signal is sampled and used to generate a synthetic velocity signal used to control motion of the member during final deceleration, along with an actual position feedback signal, the synthetic velocity signal having a decreasing magnitude tailored to a particular application. At a predetermined maximum time period, after detent of the member, a time out circuit re-inserts the actual velocity feedback signal.Control signals for the driven member are also derived from the actual motor current by integrating the motor current, the integrated current signals being used to control motion of the member during coarse mode operation only. During fine mode operation, the member is controlled by an actual position feedback signal and an actual velocity signal derived from the position signal.
