摘要: An obstacle avoidance method based on linear laser beams includes: emitting two intersecting linear laser beams to a target area; capturing an image of the target area; calculating coordinates of bright spots formed by the linear laser beams in the image of the target area; and determining whether there is an obstacle in the target area according to the coordinates of the bright spots. If the obstacle exists and a height of the obstacle exceeds a preset obstacle-crossing range, a sweeper avoids the obstacle. If the obstacle does not exist, the sweeper passes through the target area. An obstacle avoidance device based on linear laser beams is also disclosed.

摘要: A method for generating an area map for a floor processing device, wherein first and second floor processing devices detect feature data of an environment and process them into first and second area maps. The first floor processing device identifies an object based on a unique identifier of the object as an anchor point and stores relative positional information of the anchor point in a coordinate system of the first area map. The second floor processing device recognizes the same object as an anchor point known to the second floor processing device, and stores relative positional information of the anchor point in a coordinate system of the second area map. The first and second area maps are combined into a common global area map based on the relative positional information of the anchor point contained therein, and the unique identifier is a code that clearly identifies the object.

摘要: Methods and software for setting parameters for operating a modular robot are disclosed. One method includes receiving, by a server, communications data from a controller of the modular robot. The modular robot has storage for storing program instructions for executing autonomous movement at a location. The method includes sending, by the server, an initial outline for the controller to generate calibrated mapping data for the location. The calibrated mapping data identifies an outline at the location. The method includes sending, by the server, identification of at least two zones at the location, where the at least two zones define different areas at the location. The controller of the modular robot is configured to use the calibrated mapping data for said autonomous movement at the location and the controller is configured to operate a respective work function in each of the at least two zones.

The method comprises: collecting a rolling-brush current and a side-brush current (S10); performing weighted calculation according to the rolling-brush current and the side-brush current, so as to obtain a ground identification coefficient (S20); and according to the ground identification coefficient, identifying a feature of whether the ground on which the automatic cleaning device is located is carpet or a non-carpet dielectric surface (S30). Software optimization is carried out on the basis of current detection technology, thus reducing the false identification rate without additional cost.

The steam delivery system may include a steam dispenser having one outlet to dispense steam toward the surface to be cleaned and another outlet to dispense steam away from the surface to be cleaned as visible steam vapor. The apparatus may have multiple cleaning modes, including a mode where liquid is dispensed and a mode where liquid and steam are dispensed. Methods for operating a surface cleaning apparatus and for self-cleaning a surface cleaning apparatus are also provided.
