摘要: Broadly speaking, the present techniques generally relate to a method for training a machine learning, ML, model to perform semantic image segmentation, and to a computer-implemented method and apparatus for performing semantic image segmentation using a trained machine learning, ML, model. The training method enables a semantic image segmentation ML model that is able to make predictions faster, without significant loss in accuracy. The training method also enables the ML model to be implemented on apparatus with different hardware specifications, i.e. different computational power and memory, for example.

摘要: The user is to be informed of the reliability of the machine-learned model based on the current input relative to the training data used to train the model or the model itself. In a medical situation, the data for a current patient is compared to the training data used to train a prediction model and/or to a decision function of the prediction model. The comparison indicates the training content relative to the current patient, so provides a user with information on the reliability of the prediction for the current situation. The indication deals with the variation of the data of the current patient from the training data or relative to the prediction model, allowing the user to see how well trained the predication model is relative to the current patient. This indication is in addition to any global confidence output through application of the prediction model to the data of the current patient.

摘要: Currency processing systems, coin processing machines, and methods of imaging coins are presented herein. A currency processing system is disclosed which includes a housing with a coin input area for receiving coins and coin receptacles for stowing processed coins. A disk-type coin processing unit is coupled to the coin input area and coin receptacles. The disk-type coin processing unit includes a rotatable disk for imparting motion to the coins, and a sorting head having a lower surface adjacent the rotatable disk. The lower surface forms various shaped regions for guiding the coins, under the motion imparted by the rotatable disk, to exit channels through which the coins are discharged to the coin receptacles. A linear array of sensors is mounted to the sorting head and/or the rotatable disk. The sensors examine each coin on the rotatable disk and output a signal indicative of coin image information for processing the coin.

摘要: A cloud computing system can be configured to generate data models. A model optimizer of the cloud computing system can provision computing resources of the cloud computing system with a data model. A dataset generator of the cloud computing system can generate a synthetic dataset for training the data model. The computing resources can train the data model using the synthetic dataset. The model optimizer can store the data model and metadata of the data model in a model storage. The cloud computing system can receive production data from a data source by a production instance of the cloud computing system using a common file system. The production data can be processed using the data model by the production instance. The computing resources, the dataset generator, and the model optimizer can be hosted by separate virtual computing instances of the cloud computing system.

摘要: A computing architecture providing for rapid analysis and control of an environment via edge computing nodes is disclosed. Input data streams may be captured via one or more data stream independent CPU threads and prepared for processing by one or more machine learning models. The machine learning models may be trained according to different use cases to facilitate a multi-faceted and comprehensive analysis of the input data. The evaluation of the input data against the machine learning models may be facilitated via independent GPU threads (e.g., one thread per model or use case) and the outputs of the models may be evaluated using control logic to produce a set of outcomes and control data. The control data may be utilized to generate one or more command messages that may provide feedback to a remote device or user regarding a state of a monitored environment or other observed condition.

摘要: A data collection apparatus collects data used for a process, based on image data representing a group of consecutive images received from an imaging device. A processor of the data collection apparatus is configured to: control transmission of image data to the data collection apparatus; detect an object included in each image of an image group represented by the image data; track a detected object between consecutive images; store object image data relating to each object tracked; and calculate a number of objects included in an image represented by the image data. The control of transmission of the image data or the detection of the objects is performed such that an amount of data per unit number of objects is smaller when the calculated number of objects is relatively larger, as compared to when the number is relatively smaller.
