Abstract: A system for determining a treatment regimen for chronic pelvic pain (CPP) includes an electromyography (EMG) probe including electrodes. Each electrode detects pelvic floor muscle activity. An EMG sensor array includes bipolar EMG sensors configured to detect muscle activity of muscles associated with or supporting the pelvic floor muscles. An EMG amplifier is in communication with the EMG probe or the EMG sensor array. The EMG amplifier includes a plurality of input channels. Each input channel receives data of muscle activity in the pelvic floor muscles or the muscles associated with or supporting the pelvic floor muscles from the EMG probe or the EMG sensor array. A processor of a computer performs muscle network analysis using the data of muscle activity in the pelvic floor muscles or the muscles associated with or supporting the pelvic floor muscles. A treatment regimen for CPP is recommended based on the muscle network analysis.

Abstract: Provided herein are systems and methods to measure the intraocular pressure, ocular tissue geometry and the biomechanical properties of an ocular tissue, such as an eye-globe or cornea, in one instrument. The system is an optical coherence tomography subsystem and an applanation tonometer subsystem housed as one instrument and interfaced with a computer for at least data processing and image display. The system utilizes an air-puff and a focused micro air-pulse to induce deformation and applanation and displacement in the ocular tissue. Pressure profiles of the air puff with applanation times are utilized to measure intraocular pressure. Temporal profiles of displacement and/or spatio-temporal profiles of a displacement-generated elastic wave are analyzed to calculate biomechanical properties.

Abstract: A system for mapping neuromuscular junctions for botulinum neurotoxin (BoNT) injections includes a stimulation electrode and an electromyography (EMG) sensor array including EMG sensors configured to be arranged about a person's face. Each EMG sensor detects muscle activity of a facial muscle of a facial muscle group. An EMG amplifier includes a plurality of input channels. Each input channel receives data of facial muscle activity in the facial muscle group from the EMG sensor array. A computer is in communication with the EMG amplifier. A processor of the computer identifies neuromuscular junctions (NMJs) of the facial muscle group based on the data of facial muscle activity received from the EMG sensor array. The plurality of NMJs are mapped with respect to the at least one facial muscle group of the body of the person. At least one NMJ site for BoNT injection is recommended by the computer.

Abstract: A system and method for measuring biomechanical properties of tissues without external excitation are capable of measuring and quantifying these parameters of tissues in situ and in vivo. The system and method preferably utilize a phase-sensitive optical coherence tomography (OCT) system for measuring the displacement caused by the intrinsic heartbeat. The method allows noninvasive and nondestructive quantification of tissue mechanical properties. Preferably, the method is used to detect tissue stiffness and to evaluate its stiffness due to intrinsic pulsatile motion from the heartbeat. This noninvasive method can evaluate the biomechanical properties of the tissues in vivo for detecting the onset and progression of degenerative or other diseases and evaluating the efficacy of therapies.

Abstract: A REBCO superconductor tape that can achieve a lift factor greater than or equal to approximately 3.0 or 4.0 in an approximately 3 T magnetic field applied perpendicular to a REBCO tape at approximately 30 K. Abstract: Multikinase degraders described herein contain on one end a Von Hippel-Lindau (VHL) E3 ligase ligand or cereblon E3 ligase recruiter moiety, which bind to the VHL or cereblon E3 ubiquitin ligase (defined as a ubiquitin ligand binding moiety or ULM group), respectively, and on the other end a promiscuous kinase ligand that binds a target protein kinase (defined as a protein/polypeptide targeting moiety or PTM group), such that the target protein is in close proximity to the ubiquitin ligase. This leads to the ubiquitination and subsequent degradation (and inhibition) of the target protein. Specific present multikinase degraders as shown bind about 360 out of 400 tested kinases, showing that they are much more general kinase binders and degraders than any previously reported.
