Abstract: Technology for a user equipment (UE), operable for monitoring a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) is disclosed. The UE can monitor a downlink (DL) control channel for DL control information (DCI) at a predetermined monitoring occasion, wherein the predetermined monitoring occasion has a periodicity of P slots or P symbols with an offset Os. The UE can monitor a downlink (DL) control channel for DL control information (DCI) at a predetermined monitoring occasion, wherein Os has San offset with respect to a first slot in subframe number zero (SFN #0). The UE can monitor a downlink (DL) control channel for DL control information (DCI) at a predetermined monitoring occasion, wherein P is a positive integer greater than zero.

Abstract: Techniques discussed herein can facilitate transmission and reception of group common PDCCH (Physical Downlink Control Channel) for NR (New Radio). One example embodiment employable by a UE (User Equipment) comprises processing circuitry configured to: process higher layer signaling that configures a set of combinations for slot formats for the UE; detect, via blind decoding on at least a portion of a control resource set, a DCI (Downlink Control Information) message that indicates a combination for slot formats of the set of combinations for slot formats via a SFI (slot format indicator); and determine a slot format for one or more slots based on the indicated combination for slot formats, wherein the slot format indicates, for each symbol of the one or more slots, whether that symbol is DL (Downlink), UL (Uplink), or a flexible symbol in the slot format.

The method includes: decoding a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) from a Node B, the PDCCH scheduling a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH); determining at least one of a control resource set (CORESET) index or a starting control channel element (CCE) index of the PDCCH; decoding the PDSCH; determining, based the at least one of the CORESET index or the CCE index, a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) resource to carry hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) acknowledgment (ACK) (HARQ-ACK) feedback corresponding to the PDSCH to the Node B; and causing transmission of the HARQ-ACK feedback based on the PUCCH resource.

Abstract: A Narrowband-Internet-of-Things (NB-IoT) device may select between multiple carrier resources (of an anchor carrier and/or non-anchor carriers) to perform a Narrowband Physical Random Access Channel (NPRACH) procedure. The NB-IoT device may determine, based on a reference signal from an enhanced NodeB (eNB), a coverage level for the NB-IoT device and receive carrier configuration information, from the eNB, that indicates the carriers (e.g., an anchor carrier and one or more non-anchor carriers) that are available for NPRACH procedure. The NB-IoT device may select a carrier resource from among the carriers based on factors, such as the coverage level of the NB-IoT device and the Reference Signals Received Power (RSRP) thresholds and Repetition levels of the carrier resources. The NB-IoT device may use the selected carrier resource to initiate the NPRACH procedure.

The network device can also process or generate one or more multiple Configuration-Grant (CG) PUSCH configurations. The presence of a repetition level bit-field in a Downlink Control Information (DCI) carrying UL grant or activating UL configured grant PUSCH can be controlled by semi-static UE-specific RRC signaling enabling or disabling the dynamic signaling of PUSCH repetitions.

Abstract: Provided herein are method and apparatus for channel coding in the fifth Generation (5G) New Radio (NR) system. An embodiment provides an apparatus for a Next Generation NodeB (gNB), including circuitry, which is configured to: generate Downlink Control Information (DCI) payload for a NR-Physical Downlink Control Channel (NR-PDCCH); attach Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC) to the DCI payload; mask the CRC with an Radio Network Temporary Identifier (RNTI) using a bitwise modulus 2 addition operation, wherein the number of bits for the RNTI is different from the number of bits for the CRC; and perform polar encoding for the DCI payload with the masked CRC.

Abstract: Technology for user equipment (UE) operable to decode beam indication related information received from a New Radio (NR) base station in a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) is disclosed. The UE can decode a transmission configuration indication (TCI) received in a downlink control information (DCI) from the NR base station on a scheduling physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) in a scheduled bandwidth part (BWP) or a scheduled component carrier (CC). The UE can decode a scheduling offset received from the NR base station, wherein the scheduling offset is an offset time for reception of beam indication related information in a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH). The UE can decode the beam indication related information received from the NR base station in the PDSCH on the scheduled BWP or the scheduled CC at a time period greater than or equal to the scheduling offset relative to the PDCCH transmission.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure describe methods, apparatuses, storage media, and systems for determining a capability of a UE to support a first downlink control information (DCI) format for Physical Downlink Shared Channel (PDSCH) reception in a downlink (DL) bandwidth part (BWP) and a second DCI format for scheduling uplink (UL) grants for physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission in a UL bandwidth part (BWP), where the first DCI format is different from DCI formats 1_0 or 1_1, and the second DCI format is different from DCI formats 0_0 or 0_1. Furthermore, a base station may determine search spaces for monitoring physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) candidates to obtain DCI formats indicated by the base station.
