Abstract: An F-theta lens provides more than 88 degrees FFOV, F #2.8 or less, length not more than 200 mm, and/or 2.5 μm or better resolution, with color correction from 450 nm to 650 nm. The lens includes three optical groups having positive, negative, and positive optical powers respectively, which can include four, four, and six elements, respectively. Embodiments include an aperture stop in the center of the second optical group. Refractive indices and ray heights are selected to correct for field curvature. Embodiments further include a CMOS detector having pixel pitch of 1.25 microns or less, density of 18 megapixels or more, focal plane diameter of 57.2 mm or more, Nyquist sampling of 400 lines per mm or more and wide pixel field of view of 30° or more. A plurality of CMOS detectors can be arrayed to create a mosaic image.

The readout integrated circuit is configured to allow a selection between at least two bolometer configurations, a first configuration where bolometers are combined into pixels comprising N×N series/parallel groupings of bolometers and a second configuration where the bolometers are used individually, forming pixels comprising only a single bolometer.

The secure computational platform provides for integration of the assets in a workflow, while protecting the assets during construction and execution of the workflow. In some instances, each asset in the workflow is executed in an IT infrastructure of the asset provider to which the asset belongs.

Abstract: A wireless receiver and method of wireless communication determines levels of noise, including interference, in communication channels without need of calibration. A digital test signal is digitally added to digitized noise, and a signal-to-noise-and-interference (SNIR) value is determined from a resulting bit error rate and/or message error rate. The level of noise is then determined from the SNIR. The amplitude of the digital test signal is adjusted to cause the SNIR to be sensitive to the noise level, which can require an SNIR between 1 dB and 10 dB. The system can include a digital test signal generator, or the digital test signal can be stored in a memory. The system can further include a channelizer, demodulator, data correlator, decryptor, and message assembler. Noise and interference level determinations can be used to select an optimal communication channel, and to adjust a transmission power and/or rate to suitable values.

Abstract: A method of detecting electromagnetic signal sources of interest includes applying reinforcement learning to automatically and continuously update a receiver scan schedule wherein an agent is reinforced according to comparisons between expected and actual degrees of success after each schedule update, actual degrees of success being estimated by applying to signal data a plurality of value scales applicable to a plurality of reward classes. An exponential scale can be applied across the plurality of reward classes. A companion system can provide data analysis to the agent. The agent can include an actor module that determines schedule updates and a critic module that determines the degrees of scanning success and awards the reinforcements. Embodiments implement a plurality of agents according to asynchronous multiple-worker actor/critic reinforcement learning. The method can be initially applied to training data comprising synthetic and/or previously measured signal data for which the signal sources are fully characterized.

Abstract: A core suitable for inclusion in an ASIC or other integrated circuit includes a plurality of SPI masters, each of which is able to control and coordinate the timing of a plurality of SPI-controlled devices via an associated SPI bus. Each SPI master is controlled by a corresponding core controller that includes memory, interrupts, flags, timers, and an instruction processor that can independently execute instructions stored in the memory to control data communication between the core controller and its associated SPI master, and between the SPI master and one or more SPI slave devices. The core controllers can be simultaneously started, resynchronized, staggered, and otherwise coordinated with each other. Embodiments further permit bypassing of the core controllers for direct data exchange between external resources and the SPI masters.
