Abstract:
A system and method for editing multimedia content. A server transmits multimedia content to a plurality of electronic devices. Each of the plurality of electronic devices enables a user to perform at least one action in relation to the multimedia content. A a voting engine gathers information concerning the actions performed by users in relation to the multimedia content transmitted to the electronic devices. In response to the information gathered by the voting engine, the multimedia content is modified based upon predefined criteria. The modified multimedia content is subsequently provided to later users.
Abstract:
A method of circumventing network obstacles to provide a peer-to-peer communication channel between peers utilizing hypertext transfer protocol (HTTP) includes communicating a HTTP request from a peer device to a relay through a network including an obstacle where the HTTP request is intended for another peer device. The method further includes communicating a HTTP response from the relay to the peer device and establishing a communication channel between the peer device and the another peer device via the relay. The communication channel permits the peer device and the another peer device to send and receive data.
Abstract:
A system and method for processing the copyright notice of a media file stored in digital format in an electronic device are provided. The copyright notice of the media file is checked prior and/or during transmission between two devices and if the copyright notice is not found, action is taken to insert the copyright notice. The copyright notice is presented when the media file is presented.

An apparatus includes at least one input device configured to receive a speech input, a display configured to present predetermined content acquired by the apparatus from which excerpts may be extracted, and a processor configured to execute computer readable program code. The computer readable program code is configured to collect a speech recognition vocabulary set that corresponds to content visible on the display such that at least one vocabulary word in the speech recognition vocabulary set is the same as a word presented on the display, designate a segment of the content to be excerpted based on the speech input, and create a link to a source of the excerpted content and display the link with the excerpted content.

The processor is configured to display a plurality of information items on the display screen, position the information items on the display screen as a string of information items along a path, move the string of information items along said path in response to input from said navigational input device, and change a shape of said path in relation to a speed at which the string of information items moves along the path by including only straight sections at zero speed of movement of the string of information items and including one or more curves at increased speeds of movement of the string of information items.

An apparatus for providing text independent voice conversion may include a first voice conversion model and a second voice conversion model. The first voice conversion model may be trained with respect to conversion of training source speech to synthetic speech corresponding to the training source speech. The second voice conversion model may be trained with respect to conversion to training target speech from synthetic speech corresponding to the training target speech. An output of the first voice conversion model may be communicated to the second voice conversion model to process source speech input into the first voice conversion model into target speech corresponding to the source speech as the output of the second voice conversion model.

A mosaic of images may be displayed from which one may be selected for full screen viewing in the first mode. Also a picture-in-picture (PIP) display may be provided with a facility to swap between displayed images.
