Abstract:
A post-processing apparatus for post-processing paper discharged from an image forming apparatus comprises: a paper discharging roller for conveying both first and second paper sequentially discharged from an image forming apparatus to an intermediate loading part; a main paddle part for conveying the first and second paper loaded on the intermediate loading part to a compiling region; a reverse roller for conveying, together with the main paddle part, the first and second paper to the compiling region; and a binding part for processing the first and second paper conveyed to the compiling region, the paper discharging roller allows the first paper to stand by on a standby path, and conveys the first and second paper to the intermediate loading part in a state in which the leading end of the first paper protrudes further than the leading end of the second paper.
Abstract:
A CRUM unit which is mountable/dismountable on an image forming apparatus is disclosed. The CRUM unit includes a power extracting circuit to, when a clock signal is received from an image forming apparatus, extract power from a high value of the clock signal and store in a capacitive element and a controller to operate using the extracted power, wherein the clock signal has a first pulse width in a data section where a data signal is received and transmitted, and has a second pulse width which is different from the firs pulse width in an pause section where a data signal is not received.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus capable of preventing misdetermination of a type of printing paper includes a transmitted light receiver, a specularly reflected light receiver, and a diffusively reflected light receiver, which constitute a sensor, and an output determiner that determines whether data output by the plurality of light receivers is normal. The image forming apparatus determines the type of printing paper and an abnormality of the printing paper from the determination by the output determiner.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus is disclosed. The image forming apparatus comprises: a storage unit which, from among a plurality of image forming apparatuses, stores information about at least one other image forming apparatus which constitutes a virtual device and an image forming apparatus; a communication unit for performing communication with the at least one other image forming apparatus; a user interface unit for displaying a UI screen including an object corresponding to the virtual device; a task processing unit; and a control unit which, when a virtual device is selected through the UI screen and a job execution command is inputted, controls the task processing unit to process at least one first task among a plurality of tasks constituting one job, requests the at least one other image forming apparatus to process at least one second task among a plurality of tasks, and distributes the job.
Abstract:
A development cartridge attachable to and detachable from a main body of an image forming apparatus includes a photosensitive unit including a photosensitive drum, a developing unit including a developing roller and rotatably coupled to the photosensitive unit with respect to a hinge axis, a driving gear configured to rotate in a first direction for a printing operation or a second direction opposite the first direction, a driving member positioned coaxially with the driving gear and configured to be rotated by the driving gear, a first one-way clutch configured to connect the driving member with the driving gear only when the driving gear rotates in the second direction, and a first moving member configured to be connected to the driving member so as to reciprocate between a first location where a development nip is formed and a second location where the development nip is released.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a toner for developing an electrostatic latent image, the toner comprising a plurality of toner particles, each toner particle includes: a core particle that contains a binding resin, a coloring agent, and a releasing agent; and an external additive attached to the surface of the core particle, wherein the toner has two endothermic peaks in a heat curve, which is obtained at the time of the secondary temperature rise in differential scanning calorimetry of the toner, and a stepped endothermic curve; and first and second melting temperatures, which are determined to be the locations of vertices of the two endothermic peaks, a glass transition temperature, which is determined to be the midpoint of a linear portion of the stepped endothermic curve, and first and second heat of melting, which are determined to be the areas of the two endothermic peaks, satisfy the condition set forth herein.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus supporting a near field communication (NFC) function and a method of performing setting an image job by using an NFC device. The method includes tagging an NFC device to receive setting information stored in the NFC device and performing an image job based on the received setting information.
Abstract:
Provided are an apparatus and a method of detecting an error in the apparatus. The apparatus includes an image former and an induction heating fusing device. The image former forms an image. The induction heating fusing device fuses the image formed by the image former onto paper. Whether the apparatus has an error is determined by limiting a current applied to a resonance circuit included in the induction heating fusing device to less than a certain level.
Abstract:
An image scanning apparatus is provided. The image scanning apparatus includes an image sensor configured to scan image information of a manuscript, a converter configured to convert a signal scanned by the image sensor into a digital signal, a processor configured to control the converter by using a plurality of control signals and perform image-processing with respect to the signal converted into the digital signal, and a reset circuit unit configured to generate a reset signal by using the plurality of control signals and provide the converter with the generated reset signal.
