Abstract: Example methods and systems to implement an economic printing mode are described. In one example, a computer system may provide a user interface specifying multiple selectable levels associated with economic printing mode. The source printing content may be transformed to generate target printing content that is printable using a lower ink consumption compared to the source printing content. For example, in response to a selection of a first level, print quality may be reduced. In response to a selection of a second level, image information in the source printing content may be modified. In response to a selection of a third level, font information associated with textual information in the source printing content may be modified. The computer system may provide the target printing content that includes modified font information to the printer for printing and/or generate a preview of the target printing content prior to printing using the printer.

Abstract: Example methods and systems for correlation-based security threat analysis are described. In one example, a computer system may obtain event information that is generated by monitoring a virtualized computing instance supported by a host; and network alert information that is generated by monitoring network traffic associated with the virtualized computing instance. The network alert information may specify security threat signature(s) detected based on the network traffic. The computer system may map the network alert information to threat information that specifies indicator(s) of compromise associated with the signature(s) and perform a correlation analysis based on the event information, network alert information and threat information. Based on the correlation analysis, it is determined whether there is a potential security threat associated with the virtualized computing instance.

Abstract: Some embodiments provide a novel method for resiliently associating Internet Protocol (IP) addresses with pods that each have unique identifiers (IDs) in a managed cluster of worker nodes managed by a first set of one or more controllers of the managed cluster. The resilient association between IP addresses and pods is maintained even when pods are moved between worker nodes. At a second set of controllers, the method receives notification regarding deployment, on a first worker node, of a stateful pod associated with a particular ID. The method allocates an IP address to the stateful pod. The method creates a mapping between the IP address and the particular ID in order to maintain the allocation of the IP address to the stateful pod. The method provides the IP address to the first set of controllers to use for the stateful pod.

Abstract: Embodiments are described for placing a watermark over application windows in a desktop. For each application window that is opened in the desktop, the system can determine whether the application requires a watermark, for example, based on a predefined list that specifies which applications require watermarks. For each application window that requires a watermark, a uncovered watermark region can be calculated where the watermark will appear. An overlay can be placed over the application windows, for example in a top-level window that does not receive mouse and keyboard inputs, and the watermark can be drawn in the overlay over the location of the uncovered watermark region of each application. As a result, watermarks can be placed over a plurality of specified application windows in an efficient and convenient manner.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described herein for creating enterprise workflows for an enterprise user. In an example, a user can access a workflows tool in a management application. The user can select a trigger event from a list of available trigger events. In response to the selection, the workflows tool can display a list of available actions. The user can select an action. The user can also select other enrolled user devices for executing the workflow. The management application can send the selections to a server. The server can send workflow connectors for the selected trigger event and action to the selected user devices. The workflow connections can include instructions for detecting the trigger event and instructions for performing the action. The management application can install the workflow connectors and begin executing the workflow.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described for a launcher on a user device that allow users to choose between multiple launcher modes. In an example, a user can log in to a management application on a user device that manages the user device. The management application can send the credentials to a server. The server can verify the credentials and send a launcher profile associated with the user to the management application. The management application can check the launcher profile to determine whether the user is allowed to choose a launcher mode. If so, the management application can display the available launcher modes on the user device. The user can select a launcher mode, and the management application can configure the launcher with settings corresponding to the selected mode.

Abstract: Some embodiments provide a method for deploying edge forwarding elements in a public or private software defined datacenter (SDDC). For an entity, the method deploys a default first edge forwarding element to process data message flows between machines of the entity in a first network of the SDDC and machines external to the first network of the SDDC. The method subsequently receives a request to allocate more bandwidth to a first set of the data message flows entering or exiting the first network of the SDDC. In response, the method deploys a second edge forwarding element to process the first set of data message flows of the entity in order to allocate more bandwidth to the first set of the data message flows, while continuing to process a second set of data message flows of the entity through the default first edge node. The method in some embodiments receives the request for more bandwidth by first receiving a request to create a traffic group and then receiving a list of network addresses that are associated with the traffic group. In some embodiments, the method receives the list of network addresses associated with the traffic group by receiving a prefix of network addresses and receiving a request to associate the prefix of network addresses with the traffic group. Based on this request, the method then creates an association between the traffic group and the received prefix of network addresses.
