Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for forward/retransmitting a data transmission to a target UE through a helper UE. A helper UE may receive a data transmission from a network node, determining whether the received data transmission is intended for a target UE or for the helper UE itself, based on a control message, and retransmitting the data transmission to the target UE upon determining that the data transmission is intended for the target UE. A network node such as a base station may transmit a control message to at least a help UE, the control message comprising an indicator of whether a data transmission is intended for the helper UE or a target UE and transmit the data transmission to at least the helper UE and the target UE.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a message indicating that a base station supports allocating resources for sidelink communications using a first radio access technology (RAT) and a second RAT that is different from the first RAT. The UE may transmit a sidelink information message to the base station using the first RAT that indicates that sidelink communications are to be performed using either the second RAT or both the first RAT and the second RAT. The UE may receive a configuration message from the base station that comprises an identifier for the sidelink communications and an indication of available sidelink resources. The UE may transmit, based at least in part on the configuration message, a request for resources within the available sidelink resources, the request indicating the identifier and a buffer status report (BSR).

Abstract: This disclosure relates to multi-component carrier grants. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) or a base station may be configured to indicate that a transmission occasion is empty while operating in a full-duplex mode. In some examples, the UE may transmit, to the base station, an indication that an uplink transmission occasion (for example, a configured grant transmission occasion) will not be used by the UE for transmitting an uplink communication. In some other examples, the base station may transmit, to the UE, an indication a downlink transmission occasion (for example, semi-persistent scheduling transmission occasion) will not be used by the base station for transmitting a downlink communication. If uplink or downlink transmission occasions are empty, the UE and the base station may each update parameters to operate in a half-duplex mode.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) and network entity may determine a physical layer (PHY) signature for the network entity to include in one or more wake-up signals (WUSs) transmitted to the UE. The UE may use the determined PHY signature to validate a WUS received during a monitoring occasion. For example, the UE may compare a PHY signature of the received WUS to the determined PHY signature. If the PHY signature of the received WUS matches the determined PHY signature, the UE may wake up in accordance with the WUS. If the PHY signature of the received WUS does not match the determined PHY signature, the UE may remain in a sleep mode. The UE may transmit an indication of an adversarial attack based on the received WUS not including the determined PHY signature or including a different PHY signature.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for efficiently performing and reporting reference signal received power (RSRP) measurements. In particular, the techniques described herein may allow a user equipment (UE) to efficiently identify reference signals on which to perform RSRP measurements (e.g., based on signaling from a base station), identify when to report RSRP measurements (e.g., aperiodically, periodically, or semi-persistently), and identify a channel on which to report RSRP measurements (e.g., a sidelink channel or an uplink channel). In addition, the techniques described herein may also allow a UE to efficiently identify open loop parameters to use to determine an appropriate transmit power for transmitting to another UE over a sidelink.
