Abstract: Systems and methods for determining round trip time (RTT) includes a second node, which receives a first signal from a first node at a first time, determines a timing advance based on a first estimated channel response for the first signal, and transmits at a second time, a second signal to the first node, wherein the second time occurs after the first time by an amount of a pre-specified delay for RTT estimation minus the timing advance. The first node transmits the first signal to the second node at an initial time, receives the second signal from the second node, and determines a timing statistic from a second estimated channel response for the second signal, the timing statistic estimated at a third time. The first node determines the RTT as the third time minus the initial time minus the pre-specified delay for RTT estimation.

Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to decoupling uplink latency using common uplink (UL) burst in Time Division Duplex (TDD) sub-frame structure are disclosed. User equipment (UE) can transmit to a base station a common UL burst in each sub-frame communicated between UE and the base station, wherein the common UL burst comprises at least one of: a physical layer (PHY) acknowledgement (ACK), a scheduling request (SR), a buffer status report (BSR), or a sounding reference signal (SRS). UE can be further configured to transmit scheduled UL payload data in at least one common UL burst of at least one sub-frame communicated between the UE and the base station.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first device may identify that a first set of transmission resources in a transmission time interval (TTI) has a higher priority at a second device than a second set of transmission resources in the TTI. The first device may identify that a message is to be transmitted from the first device to the second device via the TTI and process the message into a bit sequence based on the identification of the second set of transmission resources in the TTI, where the processing increases a likelihood that systematic bits of the message are received at the second device despite presence of the second set of transmission resources in the TTI. The first device may transmit the bit sequence to the second device via the TTI.

Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for generating a positioning beacon sequence suitable for use in a wireless network that utilizes beamformed communication. More particularly, the positioning beacon sequence may be generated based on a first sequence that depends on a link identifier and does not depend on a beam index assigned to a beam used to transmit the positioning beacon in combination with a second sequence that depends on the beam index and does not depend on the link identifier. For example, the first sequence and the second sequence may be XORed to obtain the final beacon sequence, or the first sequence and the second sequence may be modulated and multiplied to obtain the final beacon sequence. Furthermore, in practice, the beacon sequence may be generated using a pseudo-random sequence generator initialized with a seed in which the link identifier and the beam index are treated as separate subcomponents.

Abstract: In an embodiment, a network entity schedules, as part of a positioning procedure for a UE, a first set of resources for transmission of DL RS(s) by at least one BS to the UE. The network entity associates the DL RS(s) with UL RS(s) for transmission by the UE on a second set of resources to one or more BSs as part of the positioning procedure for the UE. The network entity transmits, to the UE, an indication of the association between the DL RS(s) and the UL RS(s). The UE receives the indication along with the DL RS(s) from the at least one BS. The UE transmits the UL RS(s) to the one or more BSs on the second set of resources in response to the received indication.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a first base station (BS) may detect remote interference, with one or more uplink communications on a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) associated with the first BS, caused by propagation of one or more reference signal (RS) communications, transmitted by a second BS, out of a coverage area of the second BS and into a coverage area of the first BS due to reflection of the one or more RS communications. The coverage area of the first BS and the coverage area of the second BS are non-overlapping coverage areas. The first BS may adjust, based at least in part on detecting the remote interference, one or more radio resource allocations of the PUSCH associated with the first BS. Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods and devices for communicating based on improved signaling. A base station can transmit an indication of resources in time and frequency to a UE allocated for NOMA communication with the UE. The indication of resources can comprise a set of NA-RUs. The UE can then transmit uplink NOMA communication to the base station based on the indication of resources received from the base station. Also, the base station can transmit a compact UL resource grant via DCI, or signal the semi-static transport format configuration via RRC, to the UEs allocated for NOMA communication. The DCI or the payload of RRC signaling can be scrambled with a NOMA group RNTI, as well as comprise NOMA transmission parameters indicated by a MCS table. The UE can then transmit uplink NOMA communication to the base station based on the DCI or the RRC signaling.
